B&B Il Marzocco

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation. Easy to find (look for the brass plaque on the wall) and well situated only a 5 min brisk walk from the station and into the main heart of Florence. Despite being on reasonably busy road junction the rooms were peaceful thanks to triple glazing. Prior to our arrival Marco was in touch with transfer details/timetables, opening/closing times for the main galleries and offered to reserve tickets to the main galleries for us in advance. All the rooms (bedroom, bathroom, dining room) are beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious (a range of croissants, fruit, pastries, breads, yoghurt) and it was almost worth the visit for Marco's cappuccino alone! Our room was great, bathroom fantastic, breakfast super and Marco (owner/manager) even better with his helpfulness and friendliness.

At night don't shut the main door until you switch on the stairs light otherwise it suddenly becomes very very dark and only then will you realise you haven't noticed where the light switch is!
