Hotel Sicilia

It was actually quite terrible - horrible room that the window shutters (onto the main road) didn't close properly on the first night so really noisy - we moved rooms next day but felt we were putting staff out. Would definitely not recommend. Evening staff really noisy and telephone and doorbell ridiculously loud. (107201033)

Hotel is near the station.

Management dont seem to care about the guests at all. Staff talk /shout loudly in reception at all hours (on landline, mobile or to each other!). Landline telephone and doorbell both have really loud rings that doesn't get turned down at night (you dont get a key so you have to ring the door bell whatever time you get back!)

OK for overnight stopover but not for retreat from Palermo bustle (97974151)

Good position when arriving at central station by airport bus and for viewing Palermo old town.

Entrance area fairly run down, staff not exactly welcoming, room and bathroom in need of refresh, noisy from passing scooters on road and reception bell

The building in which the hotel is located

Difficulty to bring up the luggage because there were many scalators and no elevator, besides the clark staff at the reception wouldn't help.

Room's french window opened onto a small balcony directly over one of Palermo's busiest streets; there was no sound-proofing and therefore little sleep.

Arriving late in the evening its location to the railway station. It was easy to find.

It was noisy from traffic on street outside. No lightswitch to operate lights nr bed or bedside light. The breakfast was very basic.
