Albergo San Domenico

We were visting our son studying in Urbino for the summer. It was a very nice stay where we could park the car and enjoy Urbino on foot which was very relaxing. (108083067)

Superior location just facing the Palazzo Ducale

The potential of the building (an old convent) very poorly exploited. The entire place as a strictyly functional appearance with no element of charm.

Excellent position and pleasant accommodation

The hotel is very well located, right opposite the Pallazzo Ducale. The staff were helpful, though a little disorganised. We wanted a 24 hour laundry service, and there were no laundry lists in the rooms. The male receptionist promised to send up a laundry bag, but it never arrived, and we had to remind them twice that we needed our laundry for checkout the following morning. The room charge is quite hefty, so we were then surprised that we had to pay extra for using the internet! Also, we had great difficulty in finding the hotel by car-we went round the town three times-they need more signs, as driving within the town is restricted, so you have to go a round about route to get to their parking. We did advise them that they need to post more signs, but they didn't think it was a problem! (99929814)

The room was spacious, quiet and well equipped. However, no laundry lists in the room-you have to make your own list which is not good for a 4 star hotel!

You have to ask for the air conditioning to be connected from a central point, which is a nuisance-however, once on, it worked very well.
