cheap. cheap. cheap. if your idea of visiting a beautiful city is to get completely drunk and crash at the place where you will not be terribly ashamed waking up at, that is the right place for you. Otherwise, find something nicer.

the place was clean and rather spacious. For 2 adults and two children we had a big room with four beds and a small entrance room with a couch. It is a reasonably short walk from the tram stop, 3 stops away from the tourist center.

Will never ever stay in that "pension" again.
1) There is crowds of drunk brits browsing through the area, some of them were probably located in the same hotel, shouting, yelling, slamming doors all nights and all the evening. The staff of the place is not there after 10pm. There are lots of rules, especially about being quiet after 10pm, but there is no one to enforce it. When I called when the shouting escalated around 9pm, a man came and said that this is nothing to worry about, just people climbing the stairs and getting together.
One of the rules was saying that "Those who create a disturbance will be expelled by police without compensation" (!) The police station was, remarkably, just next door and did nothing to stop the wild parties.
2) the breakfast, sold separately for 4Euro/person, is simply awful. I mean, it is Europe, don't save on the cheese and ham, give a good stuff, people will be happy.
3) overall impression of the place, which translates, rather unfortunately, to the overall impression of Prague, is very cheap. The TV did not have a remote, satellite connection was off, there is very little furniture, no sound insulation, no mattress pads, walls are full of scratches, no single picture on the walls, the tile in the bathroom was fixed with the chewing gum, they took deposit for the keys, etc., etc., etc.
4) the staff was rather unprofessional -- the phone rings, they lose concentration on you, and then a simple thing like buying a tram ticket from them, would take forever. When they sold us tram/metro tickets they told us that the tickets are transferable from tram to metro. It cost me about 30Euro for the fee in the metro.
