La Rustica Altstadthotel

Excellent value for money. The hotel is within five minutes walking distance of the old town. The restaurant specializes in pasta and pizza but as we preferred to eat the local fare we ate elsewhere. This does not mean there is anything wrong with the food served in this hotel. Breakfast buffet more than adequate. Visitors to Wernigerode should be aware that most restaurants and cafes other than in hotels only accept payment in cash. (97603115)

Very friendly staff. Useful to be able to speak some German as staff speak little English. As far as this was concerned it made the visit more interesting- it's nice to get away from English voices sometimes.
