Hôtel Recamier

I enjoyed staying in this hotel - being able to walk to a late night cinema show, sitting at one of the local cafes watching the world go by at any time of day. The bed was comfortable but the room probably rather sparse for some with no television and lack of electrical plugs. (107285076)

Excellent location for shops, cinema and tourism. A very old building with a few rooms on each floor. A comfortable bed with good pillows. Lots of cafes nearby so breakfast can be taken on the pavement watching the world go by!

For some people the room might be rather sparse - no television, lack of electrical plugs etc... Plumbing a bit eccentric. And, you do have to ring the bell at any time of day or night to get access to the hotel. Also, for those with a car parking could be difficult.

Even at a discount rate, this hotel felt overpriced! I have not encountered plumbing problems in any other hotel I've visited recently. (107126613)

Pleasant location. Accommodating staff.

Plumbing left much to be desired. Working hot water is surely a minimum requirement to gain to 2 star status? Bed rather small. Decor in general seemed that it hadn't been updated for several decades. Noisy, although perhaps some of the rooms on other floors were better?

After a long flight delay and a longer flight it was great to find the hotel with a curtious staff and a clean room. The hotel is quaint there are not alot of extras ammenities. But if all you really need is a safe, clean place to sleep, a private bath in the room and easy access to all the city's sites(my basic requirements for travel)I would highly recommend this hotel.
