Pricey room and inadequate service (but people are friendly) (see summary of good and bad points) (97255072)

* Isolated location away from town center (17 minute walk to O'Connell Street).
*
Bar had no food or Irish music - closest restaurant is 12 minute walk.
* No free outgoing local calls -- required to use a payphone in the
bar (not permitted to use hotel/
bar phone, which was solely for
bar business). When called back on hotel/
bar phone I was asked to get off the
phone quickly because it was for
bar-business.
* Steep narrow walk-up 3 flights of stairs to 4th floor room - no lift
* Business is run like that of a
bar and not a hotel -- priority is not to serve hotel guests. Check-in is by bartender who does all hotel service requests.
* Beer-barrel truck unloads noisily under window at 7:00 am.
* Heavy construction noise from all around hotel/
bar.
* No hot water for shower in am -- had to take shower in evening.
* Seems overpriced at 105 euro ($160 USD) per night under these conditions.
