Was an ok stay, but this is the tourist industry and so people expect high levels of service for their money. The guy is new to the industry, but the standard needs to be raised, exspecially for the breakfast. Rooms are fine, small, but ok. Doors need keys, but guess that'll be sorted in time.

Spending money on lots of cheap food for the continental breakfast. Better to only serve 2/3 items but freshly baked and quality items. e.g crossants, toast, good jams, good coffee, tea, juices, cereals (museli). If you don't want to show it was bought cheap, buy plastic containers or plate up in the kitchen, away from guests. I'd have the radio on for the breakfast. As htere is only one table this helps the atmosphere.
I'd also remove all the clutter from the dining/kitchen, free up space. Then you could possible get three small tables in there. Les can be more!
