beautiful grounds, water mill was interesting feature. attractive views from the breakfast room, excellant food.

ordered twin bedded room, a double was provided. had to stand on coffee table to open window which was stuck, latch was rusty,curtains dirty. returning from a luncheon party at 18.45,watched tv until 19.30, then went downstairs for a drink at the bar.the hotel was in darkness lit only by security lights every room was locked, bar closed, and not a person to be found anywhere. where was the hospitality tray? All we had was a bottle of water in the bathroom. we had booked a lovely room according to the internet information but were terribly disappointed as we told the receptionist on monday morning. this happened on a sunday night.

i was not told when booking that there was no food available sunday evening yet it advertised as hotel and restaurant. it was very very quiet no proper reception area/process
