Very friendly and helpful staff. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order and not left in warming pans so tasted excellent. My mother's single room had the most comfortable bed she had slept in at a hotel

A couple of minor repairs not made good in bathroom but only affected appearance and not the facilities.

no internet access in the room as indicated, some cob webs on light fittings. quite a trek up to the second floor. you have to be quite able bodied.

The hotel seemed in need of refurbishment, despite the attractive period furniture in the rooms. The weather was unseasonably cold but the heating was not on in the bedrooms (107265776)
