Spacious dinning room and bedroom.Enjoyed the pool, nice size.Breakfasts were excellent, good food and quick service.Friendly pleasant staff.

Thought the bathroom looked a bit tired!! Could do with updating and redecorating.

Adequate for our requirements although a bit over priced on a 'value for money' basis.

Superb location, idyllic setting, photogenic house and grounds.

Our room was not very clean, the toilet seat was broken and there was no toilet roll holder (broken). One other room used by a family member also had a damaged toilet seat. We insisted on changing our room.

Staff, particularly in restaurant, were high calibre. Room was spotless.
Setting superb.

Only small fault was that menu was the same both days, but food quality excellent

Very relaxing stay. The hotel maintains a formal atmosphere and service but succeeds in making you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Would definitely return.

Lovely traditional hotel in beautiful setting. Spacious room in the courtyard. Excellent restaurant with good atmosphere, food and service.

Need to clarify with the hotel prior to stay which type of room you will be given as some rooms are not in the main hotel and although very comfortable and spacious are not as traditional.

A most enjoyable experience, would definitely visit again.

Friendly and acommodating staff. Little touches which made the overall visit more enjoyable, e.g. afternoon tea, shower gel in a dispenser in the shower of the leisure facilities.

We had a lovely time. The hotel was very nice. I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get what I had booked- the fact that I booked on a late booking tarriff should not have mattered. If I ever want to return, I'll have to phone and double check that I will actually get what I was promised.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Excellent facilities. Leisure centre well equipped with a delightful absence of screaming children!! Staff friendly and efficient. Room clean and well presented. I got a great last minute deal- so good value.

I booked a superior room, which promised either a four-poster bed/ balcony/ extra special view. I expected to be in the hotel. I was given a self catering "dairy cottage",the view was of the court yard and accross from the leisure centre kitchen!(So no view, no balcony, no four poster.)It was very spacious and clean BUT NOT WHAT I BOOKED! It was my first wedding anniversary. I booked the superior room based on the promise of what I would get. I didn't get that. Because it was a surprise for my husband, I didn't want to spoil things by making a fuss.
