Room 7 was excellent in its facilities, comfort, and quiet position - plus we were able to park my car immediately in front of the room. We also liked the fact that the prices of evening meals at the hotel were very reasonable. All members of staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and efficiently run hotel. Large room with high quality furniture and fittings. The Restuarant food and service are first class and very reasonably priced.

The only slight niggle was that our room (in the converted stable block) did not have any windows, just a skylight. Apart from that the room was very clean with loads of space and a comfortable bed.

In general, we had a very good impression of the hotel and its beautiful countryside setting. There was a slight mix-up in that I had called to extend our stay by one night but this was not recorded at the hotel. (97661984)

The hotel was very clean and most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the impression of a family-run business and things ran very smoothly. There was a good choice of meals in the restaurant and the food was good and not really expensive. There was a wonderful choice of breakfasts included in the price.

I was disappointed that there was not a hair dryer in the guestroom but this may have been due to previous bad experiences on the part of the hotel. Both myself and my husband thought that the room was a bit on the expensive side for a quiet country town like Abergavenny.However, this may in part be explained by the poor rate of exchange between the pound and American dollar.
