I booked a family room with "a queen size bed and a single bed" with room for another bed if required. I received a room with twin beds pushed together with a zip-up mattress with one side a good 2 inches higher than the other and a (single) bed settee that hadn't been made up as a bed. There was no room for another bed. I had to wait 30 minutes before someone came to make the bed up and, although I received an apology for the bed not being made up, there was no offer to compensate me for the inconvenience. The room description as given on the hotels brochure is accurate for the room I received. The online description is not. Therefore I was disappointed. However, the room was clean, there was tea and coffee provided (no hot chocolate or biscuits though and with young children you need that option), and it was quiet. There was a good selection of food for breakfast, although the member of staff available didn't know where the high chairs were kept. The parking was a nightmare because of road works at the time, although I got the impression it is difficult generally as there are few spaces and you can't park outside on market day. (107531826)
