Lovely welcoming atmosphere, especially the open log fire in the bar. Very good value for money. Choice of breakfast and amount of food very good. Meals were excellent value.

Power shower was great but couldn't position the showerhead in the right position to stop water going over the bathroom floor.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Reception non existent, and waited for 10 minutes before being acknowledged by member of staff. Room was not very clean, and carpet very tired and dirty. Bathroom was not clean. Room was very noisy for family room, windows rattled. Extract fan from kitchen smells in room. Bin men arrived at 3am, parked outside window for 20 minutes with engine running. Breakfast was adequate, although portions very small. Evening meal OK, though not served what we ordered.

Knew the location of the hotel prior to booking. It is ideally placed for the A3 to Portsmouth and London. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Whilst we did not eat dinner in the hotel, the full English breakfast was very good. (97878272)
