In general the hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were well mannered and professional. We enjoyed our stay and felt relaxed after the weekend. (107944221)

Clean room High standard of food especially when dining in the evening Helpful friendly staff

First room we stayed in was extremely hot, the radiator had been turned off prior to our stay and yet it was stuffy and in need of fresh air. During the night the room just got hotter, i was unable to open the window due to a flat roof and a stair way out side the window, as a woman with a 12 year old daughter, i felt uneasy about keeping a window open during the night. One member of staff was quite rude and questioned me as if i was lying, not helpful at all; not the sort of person you need fronting the reception desk and dealing with guests. The younger staff at the reception desk were friendly, polite and helpful.

The hotel has a very personal feel that is more often than not lacking in larger hotel chains. That said, the decor of the rooms in particular is beautiful. I stayed in the Primrose Suite and the attention to detail was fantastic - it was neither bland nor chinz! The service of the hotel staff was also superior, my partner had arranged a gift in my room for my arrival and they carried out the instruction with both discretion and efficiency. I will definitely be rebooking when I am in the area next.
