On the whole staff friendly and polite.

We did not expect to hear the person in charge of the dining room for breakfast telling a member of staff off within hearing of customers. Very poor management. Having to pay for smoked salmon and an omelette....what is that about. Are they so special?

Welcoming and pleasant reception staff although under pressure due to Wedding PartyFunction taking place. Breakfast service poor, involving repeated requests for coffee and toast. Bar staff on the night of our stay were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Very small bedroom with item of clothing left in room from previous quest. Outlook from bedroom depressing due to hotels laundery and refuse storage left very untidy in rear of building and in site of the leisure centre.

Generally a good experience - pleasant helpful staff - adequate room (would have appreciated a fridge) - good location - short walk into the centre of Richmond and easy access to beautiful walk along the River Thames.

Bar prices expensive - no appetisers available in the bar and so charged 3.50 for a small bowl of crisps

As we were only there for one night we valued the view and other positive comments over the above negative comments.If however our stay had been for a longer period then I would have not been happy to stay there, knowing that other occupants had better rooms . (99439669)

The location and fabulous view of the river. The gym/ pool facilities . The food was good and general attitude of the staff very commendable. The bed was really comfy.

We understood that the area of the hotel where our room was situated had not had an overhaul, like other rooms. Also the room was very hot.We needed to turn the towell rail off as there was no air con system in our room either.

good clean accomadation only criticismn is the pillows and the lack of numbers of them,in your favour the towels were extremely soft and not the usual sandpaper type associated with hotels. (99723148)

Very good standard of service and accommodation, however neither reception or the bar could source a box of matches, I appreciate that smoking is frowned upon these days but when there is a smoking area and cigarettes are sold on site it would have been convenient to have been able to get a light! I have stayed in this hotel before and had a very tiny single room, the room size was excellent and the stay was marred only by the unacceptable level of noise (3304659682)

The noise from below was incredible as was the door banging outside my room everybody came into the corridor, rubber door stops are available in all wll know diy stores!!!
