I was not at all impressed with this hotel. The lack of En-suite facilities was unacceptable. I would never have booked if I'd have known. The bedroom my husband & i had was like a cupboard. Just room for 2 single beds. There was no wardrobe just a Hook to hang up clothes. The shared bathroom was disgusting i have to say, Shower cubicle full of pink Scum. Nothing that a bit of bleach wouldn't have put right. The cold tap did not work, Had to brush teeth with bottled water. The Family room that my mum stayed in wasn't much bigger & that was for 3 people to sleep in. Again a shared shower room with not even a hook to hang your clothes or a towel up. The toilet in this room didnt even have a cover on but was covered over with a towel & a plant. Also there wasn't even a mirror in the bedroom. The family room was located above the wheelie bins & at several times throughout the night were deafened by the sound of clanging bottles. On the positive side the bedding was clean, Otherwise i would have been checking out as fast as i checked in. The £274 charge on my credit card bill makes me cringe, I will not be a returning guest nor would i recommend. (97617579)

Although the hotel was adequate we found the breakfast was under cooked also the carpet in the dining room could have done with a clean. (99074130)

positive comments The accommodation was basic but adequate

Was not informed (whilst booking on the internet) that the room chosen was shared toilet and shower room. I am not accustomed to this set up and if had known would have booked alternative hotel. This maybe somewhat supported by the fact that my fellow guests were using the shower from 08:15 - 09:00 the following morning and the hotel only delivers breakfast from 08:00 - 09:00 on Sunday morning, which meant I missed this very, very tight breakfast period. Breakfast for the rest of the week is also only an hour (07:00 - 08:00) I believe. In the round this hotel would probably suit contractor workers. Not somewhere for leisure guests! The windows didn't open and the curtains didn't close. Through on side window a strong street light shone through - which at least enabled me to read a book all night without using the hotel electricity. Walls were also paper thin in this annex and if you do not enjoy listening to snoring etc from your neighbours then this is definately not the polace for you! (99213032)

positive comments Location and price
negative comments No en-suite, no openable windows, no closable curtains and very light through the night!

Good value, and perfectly adequate for a short stay, but I would not wish to spend long there. (3305009926)

positive comments Clean, simple (plain pure cotton sheets/duvet covers)No frills.
negative comments Breakfast room smelt of stale smoke from bar the previous evening. A certain amount of traffic noise at night and early morning, as the bedroom was on the front. Staircase cramped and poky.
Excellent

The main point I would like to make is the service I received from the staff. I had been delayed on a flight from Ireland, and did not arrive at the hotel until 00.40am. Although my wife had alerted them to my unavoidable late arrival, Louisa kindly gave me her mobile no and waited up for me in order to let me in. Excellent service, I will definitely recommend your hotel and stay with you myself again. Thank you (3304484793)

positive comments All very good
