The hotel delivered what I required (reasonable priced accommodation, good breakfast and helpful staff). If there was a weakness it was in the main course of the evening meal we ordered. Steak was underwhelming with bought in chips. Breakfast was very good - proper bacon and sausage included - i.e. not just the average mass produced stuff. Sat Nav didn't like the post code (probably because the hotal is on the main road and near (ish) to Melbourn but away from other properties (apart fom the petrol station opposite). (97757199)

positive comments Well organised and practical

The hotel was adequate value for money. It was more remote than I envisaged and whilst the food was ok if I had the choice I would have gone elsewhere. My room was small with cupboard doors opening on the bed, trouser press, bag stool etc were present but not practical to use (present to get a rating I suspect. Set of drawers was broken. Overall trying hard but not quite there (97369485)

positive comments Staff pleasant enough. Good parking.
negative comments small room, noisy doors of other residents and entry into the room block

positive comments Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Towels were very white and fluffy.
negative comments The rooms were very small. Bedding was sheets and blankets - very old fashioned. Shower was stuck together with a sticking plaster!!!

Provided what I needed for an overnight business stay - no frills but adequate - eg kettle, hairdryer, trouser press but no iron, TV, basic radio, no wireless connection, but plenty of sockets for phone and laptop, large enough room. Food was adequate - reasonable choice - but why serve imported vegetables in the middle of East Anglia? Fresh fruit salad was good. Minimal staffing - but sufficient. Large car park - gravel (difficult to walk on) - just off busy main road - a bit noisy, but this was obvious from the map. I got what I expected I was paying for. (97381661)

positive comments Straighforward accommodation, easy to find, good value for money, easy to get into Cambridge
negative comments Food was fairly dreary Isolated situation

Comfortable, clean and tidy. Staff are efficient and pleasant. Food and service in the dining room was good. (99971251)

positive comments Convenient, clean and tidy, friendly but efficient staff, good dining room.
negative comments Bedrooms were, perhaps, a little tired. Also noise from adjacent rooms was noticeable from time to time.
