negative comments I was told we had to vacate the room by 11.30am the following morning. At 10.45 the cleaner came and told me I had to leave the room then as they needed to get the room ready for the next guests. I was annoyed as I had paid for the room until 11.30am.My daughter was at the local prison for a interview for a job and was not expected back until around 12 noon.I had to sit in the lounge for this length of time and was even charged

Good. Well mannered and efficient young female receptionist. (108030677)

positive comments As above
negative comments Be careful which private hire taxi firms you use for clients. The one your receptionist hired us on the Saturday night was operating illegally with no meter showing and was using his dash to calculate the mileage. He asked how much we normally paid before agreeing on a price.

This is a hotel with a problem. You expect to be able to shower but the system is that all the rooms are connected so if next door is showering the your water temp changes. (97948216)

positive comments the dining area was fine and the rooms OK
negative comments We had to be moved rooms because the shower did not work and then it did not work in the second room. The T.V. was very fuzzy and couldn't be watched.

positive comments Excellent room, just as requested. No complaints there.
negative comments Rules of staying in rooms such as no smoking, no drinking, no guests allowed in our room, handing key in to staff every time we go out, etc. These rules were not made clear prior to booking and doesn’t even applied in any hotels I have been to in the past, so how are customers supposed to know about this?

We arrived on time and then had a long wait for room availability. We were kept awake throughout the night with shouting and banging into the small hours. We asked for a wake up call which did not materialise, there was no hot water for basic washing and showering on the Sunday morning and the car park was a disgrace with strewn rubbish around. (97105513)

negative comments Long wait for ground floor room my friend being disabled

Although all the staff were friendly and supportive, hotel was all on one level,it wasn't disabled friendly. High steps with no rails and tables outside with umburells up at night for a partically sighted person high risk of walking into to them. The room was basis no remote for the T.V, that was 8 foot in the air not good if I had of been short and writing desk I didn't see, It probably was a good job I didn't need one. The hotel could improve if they gave The Disabled Act some consideration as they are meant too in 2007. (97455556)

positive comments Location and helpfulness of the staff.
negative comments It wasn't disabled friendly with high steps, no rails for support and information signs / information in alterative format not available.

Obviously hotel is still in process of being refurbished, so some slight disruption to be expected. Rooms being refurbished first, so Reception area a bit gloomy (97411145)

negative comments Water pressure was low, shower/bath very slow!

PLEASE CAN YOU IMPROVE THE BREAKFAST BY PROVIDING PURE FRUIT JUICES AND NOT A WATERED DOWN DRINK PRODUCTS ALSO THE COFFEE PROVIDED WAS THIN AND TASTELESS. THE COST OF PROVIDING THESE BASICS IS MINIMAL SO I WILL BE DISAPPOINTED WHEN I VISIT AGAIN NOT TO SEE AN IMPROVEMENT. (97869170)

positive comments Style of hotel, outdoor area, friendly staff, quiet location.
negative comments Booked 2 rooms 1 ok the other had a banana shaped mattress (unacceptable)

Good staff who are very helpful and friendly. Buses to the City Centre are frequent and it is around a 20 min walk to Broad Street. It's nice and quiet with plenty of secure parking behind the hotel. A nice breakfast to start the day off. (3305155121)

positive comments Quiet and out of the way.
