Nice little old house with only a few rooms, with good potential for improvement with only minor investment (exception: lift), while keeping the cosy turn of the century style. In its present shape: only in Paris can you get away with that...

Booking and reconfirmation was easy. However, there are plenty of hotels with a better quality/price relation in the vicinity which do not appear on Active Hotels.
Hotel: Nice turn of the 19/20 century style setting...
Friendly receptionist
Room: Nice touch with an old fireplace, even if certainly never in use.
Matress was firm.

Insufficient investment in terms of standard amenities: Bathroom functional, but ancient wooden toilet seat, apparently several times repainted.
No lift, but only three floors from what I could see
Poor lighting in the room, despite a torchiere, ascerbated by the fact that walls where in night blue...
No ligthing for the most basic camping style assembly of a table and two stools.
I had to draft a presentation over a couple of hours and the only way to have light was to turn the torchiere floor lamp around to throw some light on the table.
Bed: While sheets were fresh and clean, the headpiece of the bed had apparently not been dusted in this century.
Worst: Old single pane windows, no insulation against traffic noise, in particular the garbage collection trucks in the morning...
Poor sound insulation to staircase, rooms next and above.
No discount through internet booking.

Un peu bruyant le matin

Cost effective room (one of the few hotels in the 16th arrondissement that would accommodate 2 adults + 2 children at resonable price). Staff attentive to our needs and very resourceful. Very clean and pleasantly decorated, lots of light (room on upper floor). Because of the heatwave on the week of our stay, we had to leave the volets and windows open at night, and the noise from the street was a bit bothersome, but that's a minor point. Overall, very pleasant experience in this hotel, recommended.

Good location (Trocadero), spacious room, very clean, excellent WC + washroom (in-room), courteous and effective staff.

One of the beds was a little hard. Street noise at night (unavoidable for a room facing the street in that neighbourhood, I suppose).

The hotel was perfectly situated in an ideal central location. It was simple but good value for money.

The location of the hotel was excellent

The hotel was a bed and breakfast hotel and was perfect for my requirements.

Small, honest down to earth (perhaps a bit too down to earth?) bed and breakfast; not really enough facilities to count as an hotel. Expensive for what it offers but in an expensive part of town. Some of the higher price was made up through less travelling time and costs. For Paris, relatively quiet at night - until the binmen arrive at 0630!

The location was very good; within walking distance of my customer and the major sights. The staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Decor was looking a bit tired and the shower was arcadian.
