the hotel is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Only one staff member was surly and unhelpful on arrival and did not assist our visitors in any way otherwise our every need was catered for.

Overall a very nice room with nice amenities and an awesome location in the city.

There was a stench in the room that was very pungent like rotten feet. We aired the room out but it did no good. When the lady came to clean the room which she did a thorough job it still did no good. The room itself needed some new furniture because the chairs were half broken and the bed was bowed in the middle.

The room was excellent - clean, spacious and a good outlook

Breakfast service was very slow. Had to wait for a table, send cups back (dirty),several breakfast items from the buffet were missing others cold. Tea cold and had to be returned - waiting staff found it difficult to understand our Scottish accents.

Electrics in room. Loose connections on kettle and iron. Iron did not work and one light bulb flickered constantly so main lights had to be turned off. Poor drainage on washhand basin meant that sink was overflowing before water got hot.

Hotel restaurant food portions are to small, over priced and of moderate quality. Bar food is cheaper and better quality. Far to much street noise in bedrooms, window glazing is poor for noise insulation. Lack of air conditioning is a negative.

We feel breakfast should have been included in the cost,the additional cost of breakfast for 3 mornings did add significantly to the total cost of our stay.

The hotel was very pleasant and couldnt have been better situated for the playhouse theatre breakfast first class and it certainly was advantageous to prebook breakfast. One small defect - bathroom sink was cracked right across the middle and they had made an attempt to fix it with sealant but it looked terrible it would have paid to have the job done properly. very clean and tidy and we would certainly use this hotel for our future overnight stays (97419373)

Slow running cold tap in the bathroom.

When we arrived at the hotel they didnt have any record of our reservation. Luckly i had the confirmation number with me so it got sorted out in the end... after 30 minutes of waiting in reception! On the up side the staff were really helpful and the room was nice. The hotel was conveniently located with respect to the city center and train and airport shuttle transportation at Waverly Station. The Saturday night rate was extremely high compared to the week night rates.
