Location, situation and overall positioning on road system.

Slamming entrance door to the block we stayed in and the constant noise overhead throughout the night, which seemed like a water tank or air conditioning.

the only problem was an extremely noisy neighbour, but this is not the hotel's responsibility.

Only suggestion to put forward would be, better glazing in the windows to reduce/stop noise from A14 road. (97212391)

Noise from the A14

The staff were very friendly and provided an excellent standard of Customer Service. Our suite was cleaned to a high standard, the food menu and wine menu choice was varied. There was a problem with the food and after dinner drinks on our last night, however, our complaints were listened to and resolved in a swift and efficient manner. We will certainly rebook another stay during the summer months to enjoy the surrounding countryside, make better use of the facilities and enjoy the use of a private patio. (97635423)

Our suite was very clean and tidy, well equiped, with plenty of space for our belongings.

The rooms were very clean and the furniture, bed coverings, etc were all in very good condition. The location was excellent and the food was fantastic.

There is no vegetarian/vegan cooked breakfast. Not even baked beans or fresh fruit. Service was slow as it was busy (toast rushed out undercooked). Frustrating for those who need their caffeine fix! (99160647)

This hotel was booked as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday and I think it fitted the bill perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful and service at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. (99652061)

The room fully met with my impression from the website and to be honest, was probably better than anticipated. Unfortunately we weren't able to take full advantage of the other facilities on site as our stay was fully planned for.

Minor criticism was that the TV was in the wrong place to be viewed easily from the bed.

Staff were unhelpful and miserable Rooms were very small.

We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel when we checked in we were told that the manager had upgraded our room free of charge, to our surprise the upgrade was a room with a four poster bed and a spa bath. The staff were all very friendly. We would definatley go back. (3305211355)

This was a first class hotel the room was charming and had all the facilities we would have wished for. Although it was near the A14 it was very quiet. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant was excellent, good fare and good value, real ales and whiskeys as advertised! We did not have time to visit the leisure centre but the facilities looked good. Good location to park and ride to Cambridge (Newmarket P&R)only 3 minutes away (3304786676)

Although we only had a short stay at the hotel, The staff were all so friendly and co-operative, (even giving us an upgrade to our room). A really nice choice of fine food at breakfast. A lovely meal in the evening, all served by friendly,pleasant staff. A very nice characteristic building, tastefully decorated with modern mixing well with the old. The leisure centre was the same, with friendly, helpful staff. The atmosphere in the whole place made you feel very welcome. The only drawback I can pick up on,was, I was led to believe that breakfast was included in the price at time of booking. This didn't really matter as it was well worth it anyway. (3304699841)

My view on the accommodation might be slightly skewed because I was in a fourposter room with a whirlpool bath-these are much more expensive than the other rooms. In the room I had there was access to an attractive private courtyard and garden area. The food was superb and served in very pleasant environment (the burning log fire in the grate on a cold night a particularly nice touch). Staff were all efficient and pleasant. (3304433464)
