The manager (or whomever took over from the hapless receptionist) was able to resolve my check-in issue effectively. Glad he was able to work around a flawed process.

The check-in process requires the owner of the credit card used to book the room to be present at check-in despite a note on the reservation saying this wouldn't be possible. Too process oriented.

This is the best hotel I have stayed in. Very comfortable and clean. Brilliant room service. Convenient for tube although a little far out from the major attractions, however, the hotel was so good that the location did not matter. The hotel staff were fantastic. I will stay again next time I am in this part of London. (97892970)

We had an unexpected invitation to an event in the city so we only booked the hotel the day before. We were thrilled with the hotel, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was wonderful; the bed extremely comfortable. The room was a good size, when generally city hotel rooms can be very small. The decor was impecable, nothing shabby at all. The bathroom facilites were excellent and the shower was wonderful.
