It made a long journey from South West France back to the UK less tedious with an over night stay

Hotel was very good value for money
Staff very helpful
Richard from Canterbury, GB (Group of work colleagues) 17 November 2008
It served the purpose. We used to stay in the Ibis, but that has got to expensive. This hotel is on a par, but cheaper.
(107481317)

Easy to find. Close to all shopping areas. Good value for money. Staff friendly and helpfull. Food in resturant good value.

Cups in rooms to small

Conveniently situated. Friendly helpful staff.

Needs new hallway carpets. Smoking just outside the entrance should be discouraged as it drifts in. Ate late and much of the self service starter course was finished. What was left was good so it would have been nice to have full selection.

The hotel was very basic, and not worth the money that they charged. The food choice is very poor. Considering that Calais is a port that lives off people travelling, the hotel does not accomodate `out of hours` travellers.
(97301370)

Close to euro tunnel

Very poor menu choice if you did not like sea food. My wife is a vegetarian, and there was nothing at all for her to eat from the restaurant menu. Also, the restaurant closes very early (21.00 hrs), which means that if you arrive after that time you cannot get any food.

It was overall a very pleasant stay at this accommodation excepting the one rule for some and not others attitude towards pets.
We will definately return at a later date....with or without dogs!
(97556568)

It was very comfortable and clean with good room facilities and it was nice to have tea and coffee in the room. The food was excellent and the hotel is attractive. A good and convenient venue for shopping and tunnel access.

We were told that we could not take our dogs into certain areas and then saw that other people were allowed to take their pets, to what we had been told were restricted areas! As considerate animal owners who have fully trained dogs and also the fact that we travel with our pets own beds and do not allow them on beds or furniture etc, we felt quite annoyed that we had been treated differently.

As Eurotunnel delayed it would have been nice to know restaurant closing times(as we were too late). Helpful staff otherwise and whole stay pleasurable and would return and recommend to anyone. Very economical and worth more than the 2 star rating!
(97361061)

Easy to access, room on ground floor, nice large room, nice large access area for shower. Very clean

For disabled an extra handrail to help get in and out of shower would have been an asset.

Proximity to the port of Calais

The overpowering smell of stale cigarette smoke and yellow ceilings and walls in the room...not a good environment for children, although it was a family room (with bunk beds).

The hotel is an ideal place to stay for a few days in Calais as it is easy to get to once you get off the ferry and is very close to Cite Europe if shopping is the order of the day! It is clean and comfortable with friendly staff and has a good selection of food and drink in the restaurant / bar. I would certainly stay there again and would suggest it to others looking for a hotel in this area.
(97833043)

It was extremely conveniently situated for both the ferry terminal / autoroute and for shopping at Cite Europe.

Basic but clean room. Nice little restaurant which was good value. Staff helpful and friendly. Free parking. Excellent value for money
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 01 January 2008
It is good to know that after several hours of travelling you can settle down to a 'night in' and relax over a meal without having to go into Calais to find a restaurant which is not a burger bar or fast food establishment. The accommodation was very good value for money - the rooms were clean, quite comfortable: the hot-water worked and the towels were white and soft.....
(97029307)

ease of access, a good-value evening meal, friendly staff

The breakfast drinks - the coffee ( from dispenser ! ) was nigh - undrinkable....and the fruit juice seemed to be watered down. I should have chosen tea..

Basically the requirement was an overnight stay in a standard hotel close to EuroTunnel. Overall the Hotel was OK, food was quite good. I felt the interior and room's just need brightening up. Overall reasonable value for money.
(97704850)

Easy to find, decent car parking, friendly staff

Bed was VERY uncomfortable, room and facilities drab and uninviting
Anonymous (Mature couple) 26 November 2007
The accommodation was very good, we could not fault it at all, the bed was comfortable and the food was good, and reasonable priced. The staff were very friendly ans assisted us all they could. We will deffinately use this hotel again when we next make a trip to the UK.
(97042820)

The accommodatiuon was clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly. The food was good, though in future I would book in advance, its so popular we had to wait, but only for a short while, we had a drink while waiting so it want too bad.
Keith from Sheffield, GB (Solo business traveller) 24 November 2007
The rooms are small but adequate for a one or two night stay, I would not like to stay any longer. No frills.
(97004792)

Generally clean and nice clean sheets on the bed.

Restaurant food was poor and small portions, very dissappointing for a french hotel.

Ideal location for eurotunnel and Cite de L'Europe for shopping. Reasonably priced, and very friendly snd helpfull staff.Very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast!

Not being able to leath the room doors 'on the latch' when going to the next door room to check on our daughters, so having to either take the key, or knock on the door to be let back in. The hand washbasin in our room could do to be replaced - the porcalain was crazed.

breakfast was a bit pricey and not much variety
