Not someplace we would ever reccommend to others. Not a place Comfort Inn should be proud to hang their banner on. (97524025)
Price. Close to downtown.
noisy location- garbage collection from
train station woke us up up at 3am. Staff was uninterested in answering our question about using the telephone and seemed lethargic when asked to check with someone who could answer our question. Rooms were worn and carpets very dirty-needs updating. Comfort Inn banners
outside are FILTHY- need to be replaced.

price was even offered which was excellent, warm hotel. good
value for money if booked over the internet

A nice hotel to stay in. As a young girl travelling on there own the staff were more than lovely and greeted me with a smile. Check in was easy and room was ready on arrival. (99999639)
Easy access
location to the Bull ring-You literally walked down the stairs at
New Street Station and you were at the Hotel, Walk the otherway and your in the middle of the Bull Ring (which mean't great
shopping and good access to own food if you didn't want to eat at the Hotel)

My
window was broken which mean't the room was very stuffy. The hotel did however leave a sign on the
window which informed me. I didn't query why it hadn't been fixed as there was a sign on the back of the
door which said please report any room problems to the
reception. I just assumed the previous person had broken the
window and not informed anyone.

The whole of the building is in need of refurbishment. Shabby is the first impression. I would have liked to say traditional but its past that now. Communal areas smelt of cigarette smoke. Did not go to breakfast due to this and general run down appearance of the place.
We have stayed comfort inns in the past and expected basic, clean accommodation in good surroundings. But, although cheap, it was below the standard of other accommodations we have stayed in in the past.
Will not use this particular hotel again. (99011046)
Central location. Bed was
clean and
comfortable. Towells changed daily.- good quality towells.
Poor communal areas - shabby.
Noise levels high due to lack of double glazing.
Bathroom was far too
small reminded us of a caravan showerroom. Impossible to manage in such a
small space. On a
noisy road with no double glazing to shut out traffic
noise.

The staff is very friendly and I must thank you to all of them as it was my first visit to Birmingham. I make sure any of my friends can stay in the Hotel. To the Manager, and all the Staff my thanks.

We were happy with the accomodation overall. Arriving in Birmingham by train to New Street Station we discovered the hotel was a short walk away in Station Street alongside the Pallasades centre making it an ideal central location for shopping, dining and local sightseeing. Reception was manned by polite and helpful members of staff. The cost of the stay was very reasonable. I would prefer a room with a view and a better quality bed, but I would certainly stay there again on my next visit. (99025975)
Location of the hotel was ideal for
shopping, sight seeing and the
railway station in
Birmingham.

Although our room had windows, they looked out onto a high brick wall just two feet away. So no view possible. The bed and pillows were very firm, whereas I prefer softer mattress and pillow for a good nights sleep.

I wos happy with my stay at the hotel its basic and worth the money. I would'nt stay there for any longer than a weekend as it is basic and has no facilates. Also the bar should be open later 9pm is to early. (99378153)

Like i have explained before this hotel was just a flat residence in the city, with low standard of living, and bed which should be the most important part of any hotel, coz at the end of the day guests had to sleep, and that should be a comfort one, but here, only the name is comfort, apart from that , nothingelse. (3305473279)

well truly speaking there wasn,t anything
nice there, it was just a flat sort of residence with same
price of hotels.Needs lot of improvements, i mean i didn,t get any room anywhere so i took that one, but now i wont.

The bed makes sooooooooooo many noises that even you change your side in the night, you will definitely get some music, i was so embarrased infront of my girlfriend, i spend the money but couldn,t get the
value of my money.

Good points:nice clean hotel,friendly staff,excellent breakfast.
Bad points:a little noisey with the traffic and being non smokers we smelt of stale cigarette smoke when we went for our meeting the next day because the hotel stank of cigarette smoke. We are from New Zealand where smoking in public places is not allowed, hopefully one day it will happen here. (3305196573)
