I fould the Hotel to be very cosy, quiet and clean. Hanging spave for clothes, in the room I had, was minimal. It was difficult to determine exactly how far away from the centre it was as Cab rides were expensive. (97239748)

The rooms were clean, toiletries and towels were provided. Tea and coffee facilities in every room. Rooms all had ensuite shower room which was bit small but was clean and nicely decorated. TV in the room with usual five channels and small selection of sky channels our tv was the new LCD flat screen type tv. Our room was larger than I expected. There is no lift in the hotel so is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties as there are lots of steps up to the rooms and these are bit steep. The hotel is a 15-20 mins walk from city centre which is a bit hilly but a cheap regular bus service runs past the bottom of the road. We had a great stay here and really enjoyed this hotel. Stunning location, lovely house and rooms with very functional en suites lots of local restaurants on broughton street try olive bistro if you get the chance.

Needed breakfast menu you only got the option of full scottish from the waitress but then there was cereal, yoghurt and stuff on the sideboard and someone ordered poached eggs which I would have liked had I known they were available. Receptionist at check in had on jeans and stripy t-shirt saturday and sunday which wasn't really in keeping with the environment.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. All I can say is thank you for a wonderful weekend and see you soon. (99042722)

The fact that it was a smaller hotel made it feel cosier. It was clean and tidy.

The location - down at the bottom of a very steep hill - okay walking down, but not back up!!

La chambre que j'ai loue pour un montant de 120 livres sterling etait au sous-sol et etait a peine plus large que le lit une place dans lequel j'ai dormi.... Un peu cher le metre carre!!!!

The hotel is in an ideal location for being near the city and yet away from the bustle. You are practically at the bottom of Broughton Street so there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars to keep you occupied! Staff were great. The only complaint that I had is that the breakfast portions should have been larger. (3304185697)

No complaints really other than to say that the advertisement for the hotel stated it was a 15 minute walk from Princes Street. For us, it was more like 20-25 with a lot of uphill walking. Locals may be used to this, but we found it challenging. Aside from this, it was perfect, really. (2120781)

The staff were very accomodating - I was running the Edinburgh Marathon and although they do not offer early breakfast they got up at 7am to make mine. Our room/hotel was very clean and well presented.

Price - this is more of a B&B than a hotel, therefore facilities were not matched to the price of a night's stay.

Liked the fact that the accommodation was smke free. How to get to accomodation from airport ie airport bus , stop to get off at. directions to local buses (23 & 27) and where to get off. (2265244)

L'albergo, ricevuta e confermata la prenotazione, ha registrato una situazione di overbooking; a questo punto ci ha fornito un eccellente appartamento al medesimo prezzo della camera prenotata. Questa serietà e cortesia è stata particolarmente apprezzata perchè avevamo appunti di lavoro ineludibili, in un momento in cui tutti gli alberghi di Edinburgo erano prenotati per un evento sportivo.

Il problema dell'overbooking è stato registrato 24 ore dopo la prenotazione, quando ormai stavo lasciando l'azienda. Tutto si è concluso bene, ma i tempi di controllo degli aggiornamenti evidentemente destano problemi.
