In general we enjoyed the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, it was nice, clean & warm. The bar downstairs was good too. Its not too far to walk to the attractions of London, we went to see the New Year in. We would stay there again (they made a note of the tap and shower door over the bath, so I'm sure that will have been corrected) (97530759)

positive comments The room was warm and clean.
negative comments The hot tap on the sink was extremely difficult to turn you needed two hands to use it, and the shower door over the bath leaked water onto the floor.

Better than expected. Although a pub come hotel it worked just like a small hotel - very professional. I was concerned about previous reviews about the smell of smoke but that wasn't an issue at all. Of course this issue should be redundant shortly anyway. The staff were very helpfull and polite. I couldn't get bbc2 on the TV in my room and the staff arranged for me to watch an episode of Rome on a big screen downstairs in the back. The manager even ensured the background music in that room was turned down for me - I didn't even have to ask. I found him to be particularly professional and helpful. I guess the price for what you pay for comes with London, but it's definitely better than a pub come hotel - I was pleasantly suprised overall. (99092073)

positive comments clean, smoke free room

positive comments The hotel is excellent. the staff were very helpful and the deal on the web was great value for money. A most enjoyable stay.
negative comments the only dislike was the length of the double bed. Being a 6 footer I found my feet hanging off the end of the bed. The misses (being shorter than me) had no problem with the bed but found the room to be very hot even with the supplied fan running.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our visit, and the general standard of cleanliness was acceptable. The mattress was a huge peoblem. The least you could expect from a hotel is a decent nights sleep. Also, the toilet seat in the bathroom was broken. I doubt we would use this hotel again. However, The staff were very polite and helpfull. (99383772)

positive comments Convenient, Clean,
negative comments The matress on the bed was dreafull! We were sleepless all night! Which ruined an otherwise wonderfull visit! An expensive way to stay awake!
Excellent

negative comments The bar could have stayed open beyond 11pm

Mad hatter has an excellent location and a friendly feel. Booking through this website saves you alot of money too as it substantialy more if you come in off the street. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate. The room decor could do with an update, fresh lick of paint etc, but all in all it excellent value for money> i would stay again. (99250980)

positive comments Quiet and nice and clean
negative comments Bathroom could do with a renovation. Old tiles, mastic. Room decor could do with a little tlc
