Not something I would want to have again.
(107897347)

The receptionist lady that helped me the night of checking-in was really nice and helpfull. The continental Breakfast served in the room was okay

The driver's skills from the airport on the night of the 12th Novenber 2008 was BAD. The size of the private bathroom. No facilities for dining, had to go accross the road to a pub, which had great food non the less.
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 09 November 2008
Interesting setup with a house converted into guest bedrooms next to main hotel building. Pub nearby was handy for catching an evening meal and breakfast was worth the money with a good selection of food on offer. I did pay for a cheaper room at the hotel but as there is only one bathroom in the house, if it was improved and a shower cubicle installed it would have rated as excellent value for money.
(107842962)

Very helpful staff
Free transfer to airport.
Good room facilities.
Comfy bed

Bathroom facilities in need of upgrading in converted house.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We definitely would not be staying here again
(107245921)

Friendly staff. Breakfast in room.

The bathroom was very very small. The shower cubicle was very very small, the shower curtain did not fit so the water went everywhere. The drains smelt in the plughole of the shower.
There were two people in the room but only one bath towel and one hand towel was provided!
The walls in the rooms were paper thin, we could hear everything in the other rooms - even a man snoring in the early hours of Saturday morning....! There was also a giggling woman in the next room who kept us awake on Sat/Sun.
Beds we uncomfortable!
This was definitely not drinking water as when you had a cup of tea/coffee there was a clear scummy film over the top of the drinks.
The drinks/snack machine would not give change.
It was disgusting that you had to pay extra for breakfast!
Room was cold.

might stay again if price was better
(107219109)

very friendly and helpful staff, close to busline to heathrow/tube station

did not get rooms we reserved, shower was good, but missing a door, beds okay, room small and old, VERY expensive for quality
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 19 September 2008
I quite liked it although you have to share the bathroom, but the bed was comfortable and the room clean. The area around the hotel has a couple of nice pubs and, even though you're near the airport, you don't really hear the planes.
I have to say that I stayed in this hotel a couple of times and the experience very much depends on which "house" you end up sleeping in: some are cleaner and more welcoming than others, and on one occasion I really didn't like the room at all (small, dirty bathroom, noisy neighbours).
(107285213)

clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient.

carpet could do with some cleaning, sound-proofing inexistant, shared shower.

It wouldn't take a lot to make this place into a much nicer Motel to stay in. Some attention to the small things goes a long way, ie. having things that match - cups, glasses, bed linen. A double room for two adults is only given 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel.
(107290169)

Close to the airport and has a lovely pub around the corner that does fantastic meals.

The first room we were given was disgusting and smelt of mould. We requested a room change. The second room, although it didn't smell, it wasn't much better. It was a run down house that seemed to of been redecorated in a hurry and converted into 5 rooms.
Anonymous (Family with older children) 23 August 2008
It was adequate for one night. In future if I need to stay for more than one night, I would probably choose another hotel.
(107299280)

Airport pickup and drop. Clean and serene environment.

Not adequate customer care. Verbale instructions on directions not clear.
David from FELIXSTOWE, GB (Mature couple) 22 August 2008
Good value for money
(108079629)

The receptionist on duty was excellent. As well as dealing with guests checking in she also answered the phone to give directions and deal with other queries.

Aircraft noise was higher than we are used to in that area but after about 11 pm it was otherwise a relatively quiet night.

(107178113)

Easy check-in. Very good price! You get what you've paid for, so don't expect 5* quality. Cheap & cheerful.

The beds were a little springy!
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 18 August 2008
Overall the hotel met my needs and I was satisfied.
(107299982)

Welcome. Room clean. Facilities good.

Poor directions getting from heathrow airport. Noise of very early morning guests - doors banging etc. Broken kettle in room.
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 14 August 2008
Ok for the price but I would rather pay a bit more for a proper bathroom.
(107118771)

Convenient for T5 Heathrow airport and free shuttle bus service. Staff were efficient, helpful and polite. The room was clean.

The 'bathroom' was a tiny plastic cubicle and barely adequate.
Anonymous (Family with young children) 30 July 2008
Overall I found the room & hotel very good & filled my needs.
(97773669)

It was close to the airport and it had a shuttle to the airport. All the staff we came in contact to were very good.

We had to leave our suitcase on the floor & I found it hard bending.
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 10 July 2008
This was the worst place I have stayed since traveling as a student 30 years ago. I will never stay there again.
(108002715)

It was inexpensive.

The hotel did not receive my internet booking so I had to call twice to verify that I had a reservation. That I had a reservation number made no difference.
The reception area was tiny, very unclean, had a ragged mat in front of the reception desk.Tere were 8 people checking in waiting in line for at least 1 half hour, and the courtesy van took 1 hour to collect me at the airport. The van wait would have been ok if it were communicated that it would take that long. Also I could have chosen take a taxi if I had known so that I could have avoided feeling abandoned for nearly an hour. The light bulb in the reading light beside the bed was burnt out and the sole staff was busy with receiving other guests so I could not get a new one.
Nigel from Harpenden, GB (Group of work colleagues) 06 July 2008
Basic, but cheap.
(108064883)

Heathrow Lodge was a fine place to stay, only things that let it down were the cramped shower room / toilet and the lack of soundproofing as aeroplanes go right overhead.
(108011325)

Free parking, friendly staff, nice location, free tea and coffee making facilities and TV in room.

Rooms could have more spacious shower facilities and better soundproofing.

The standard of the room did not correspond to the web pictures of the externals of the lodge. Our taxi driver had serious problems finding the way from Heathrow airport to Old Bath Road, inspite of the electronic map sytem in the car and two phone calls to the lodge.

The only thing good about this lodge was the staff.

Cleanliness of the room was poor, the bathroom was FILTHY (with clogged tubs and toilets), there was some leftover stuff in the fridge which was never removed (very YUCKY)
Anonymous (Family with young children) 21 March 2008
would have liked confirmation of whether our room was in the motel or off site.
should have found out about surrounding facilites first, such as any places to eat with children-there wasn't any. also that the road system is one way one, very difficult to get back to the motel without having to go outside the village and travel in again.
(97838103)

it was in a clean house at the bottom of the road

though it was in a motel, not in a house shared with men. i was a single mum with daughter, did not feel that comfortable.
It was too hot, couldn't turn off the radiator.
did not realise just how closes the runway was to the room, saw all the planes up close- no sleep at all.
walls were paper thin, could here everything in the house.
Anonymous (Group of adult friends) 12 March 2008
The standards in the hotel reflected the cost. But still adequate for the job.
(97317512)

Closeness to airport.

Poor showering conditions
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 06 March 2008
Although the price was cheap for a single room without ensuite I had not expected it to be quite so shabby. Having said that, the bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels clean. I would use this hotel again if I required a very short one night stopover. The courtesy car back to the airport the next morning was free and this compensated for inadequacies of the room.
(97540817)

Very reasonable price for a short stop over at Heathrow Airport

The room was dismal and uninviting.

We would liked to have known that there was a decent en-suite and decent beds and that we would not have to approach driver asking HIM
if he was from Heathrow lodge and some help with heavy suitcases.
A price of about £20 would have been fair for facilities offered
(97618350)

everything, beds, miniscule shower, head touching door when on the loo, toilet in front of washbasin,no help from driver who picked us up at Heathrow.

Anonymous (Mature couple) 25 February 2008
Staff were helpful Room was basic but fine. Shuttle service to airport was really good. Only slight problem was initial difficulty in getting to the hotel in the first place although, in fairness, I don't really know what you could do to improve that. It could perhaps be a little clearer on the website the exact distance and direction from Heathrow.
(97035738)

Quiet & private

Not terribly easy to get to (the motel, not the room)
Dale from 85 Old Snow Hill, GB (Solo business traveller) 25 February 2008
Overall for the price one cannot be too judgemental, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Dissapointed with the buffet breakfast,I was expecting something hot,if I had known I would have had the continental.
Being assigned to a house at the side of the hotel was also not too welcoming.

Overall, I was pleased with the stay and would return in similar circumstances. Staff were helpful and attentive. Although the weather was cold, the heating in the room was very good and I got a good night's sleep. There is a pub directly across the road and it would have been useful to know of its existence for planning refreshments. I think that if I was looking to stay for longer, I might choose a hotel with more facilities, but for a one night stopover it was fine.
(97512585)

It met my needs - I was looking for straightforward overnight accommodation near Heathrow so that I could meet a friend arriving on an early morning flight. The taxi shuttle was particularly useful, although I did have to wait in the cold for almost an hour for it to arrive at Heathrow on the night of my arrival. It was fine on departing in the morning, though.

Room was basic, the TV a bit dodgy and I had to share a bathroom - but given the short nature of my stay, this wasn't a problem.

small and any one going to the loo all you could was air con go staff work clothes hanging in hall
Anonymous (Young couple) 22 January 2008
Cheap accommodation for the location, which is excellent for Heathrow travellers. However much could be achieved at low cost to brighten up the rooms. Ditch the plastic bathrooms they are not a solution!
(97337713)

For this price i thought the size of the room and it's equipment levels were fair

The en-suite bathroom was pretty evil, tiny, and looked like some kind of badly executed Japanese idea of what a bathroom should be in 1980.
