Very enjoyable.

Comfortable, relaxed. pleasant view, good food, good service.

Lack of care in bathroom: meagre supply of toiletries, broken tap, broken lock, only one hand towel, old-fashioned shower.

I would thoroughly recommend

Quietness and comfort

Nocooked food on a Sunday evening due to staff party. We were not told about this in advance. The concierge did rustle up some sandwiches which were excellent.

We ate at the Farmers Rest restuarnat where we found the manager to be lacking in customer service and the overall service was okay but not great. The food was okay but could have been better.
A shame becuase the hotel is excellent.

Our two day stop-over was fine. Would be happy to return.
We were lucky with the weather. You might consider increasing the selection of TV channels; it would be useful in inclement weather.

First class; no problems

Room 150 was a bit of a trek !

Quiet, Good space in room, quality of furnishings

Breakfast room too crowded; waiters very slow to clear plates on saturday - seemed to be too few staff

a good experience but for a longer stay I would have had to get the shower fixed or change room......
(99075020)

Generally a good experience with good food

the shower wasn't working (room 9) and the hairdryer was 'old-fashioned'/weak.

I would have liked to have known how near to a busy road the hotel was but fortunatley our room was set back enough to not be disturbed by traffic noise. Overall i would recommend the hotel to friends

Over all very good.

Internet access included in the price. Comfortable room.

Having to walk in the open between reception and room and restaurant. OK in summer, but not when it was windy and raining (during my visit)

We had dinner in the Garden Restaurant the first night and the quality of food and the service was very good, and we had breakfast both mornings. The slight grumble was the attitude of the staff at breakfast. We came down each morning at about 8.50 - 9.00 a.m. and had the feeling that the staff wanted to clear away and get set up for lunch/dinner. Other than being pointed to a table, room number asked, that was it, you just got on with it. The hot plate gave the impression of very much the tail end of what had been prepared sometime earlier. As I said it was only a slight grumble, and did nto detract from our over-all enjoyment of our short stay.

An enjoyable stay with good service throughout.

On checking in there was a problem with the plumbing. We were dealt with immediately and moved to another room. In fact we were upgraded to a larger room in a new part of the building which was extremely comfortable. The response by the staff could not have been better.

Could not fault anything.

Overall for a 2 night stay this hotel was good value for money. Having read the guest review before going we were a little concerned, especially James from Eastleigh. But we need'nt have worried. From arrival to departure the staff were very attentive, the rooms were clean and we were not disappointed in any way. If we are down that way again we will stay at the Knights Hill again.

Good accommodation and helpful staff. Clean tidy rooms.

The plumbing and water pressure needs to be looked into. The shower in our first room was similar to showers in Greece or Turkey 15 years ago.

Generally we would like to stay again, so long as we could sleep on a soft bed. If you would like us to eat at the hotel then the prices need to be looked at. The staff were super, and the hotel grounds lovely. It's just a few bits that need attention as far as we are concerned.I have said yes to the following if the above is sorted.
(2682990)

Although we were hoping £65 per night would at least give us a good nights sleep it did not. The bed matteress was very thin so that we could feel the pine bed slats. I normally sleep on anything but this was very uncomfortable. My wife had hardly any sleep at all. One curtain was broken. The rest of the room was fine, it was just a shame that the section we really needed after driving all the way from Bristol was so bad.

Obviously the beds and making sure everything in the room was 100%.
Also we were hoping to eat at the hotel but after seeing the cost of the meals we ate elsewhere for breakfast, lunch and dinner.Shame we really would like to have brought our relative there.

Description of the hotel was accurate. Very pleased in general. Very good accommodation for families or those with limited mobility because of the availability of ground floor rooms in the courtyard complex. If I were to live in the area would take advantage of the leisure club membership, very reasonable price for good facilities.
(2545394)

Spacious room, big enough for two extra beds for children. Ground level so no stairs, convenient parking. Good leisure facilities. Friendly staff. Choice of places to eat in the evening. Easy to find from main road.

Some of the furnishings in the room seemed a little tired. Bathrooms are a bit dated.
