Room was in urgent need of complete redecoration- we only wanted a night stop so was adequate for our needs, but would not recommend to others. (107467446)

Food menu in Bar had a good selection of food. Staff quite friendly and helpful.

Insufficient parking on site. Requested double room but room only had 2 single beds(Staff did link beds together to form large double). Bathroom not very clean. Wallpaper hanging off wall. Broken pane of glass in window. Was not advised that there was a restaurant serving a different menu.

This is a perfectly adequate hotel, which gains from its situation and the character of the building. Nothing is actually missing but there are not too many frills either. (97130667)

Lovely old building, very well situated in a beautiful town.

The room was smaller than I'd anticipated. The lack of a lift didn't worry us, but could have been a problem for others and I don't remember being aware that there wan't one at the time of booking online, though I could have missed the information.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Food was excellent and bar and resturant were very welcoming and relaxed in atmosphere. Decor of the room was a bit tired and the lighting could have done with being a bit brighter. Also I'd have welcomed a plug socket by the bed so as I could have used my laptop sitting on the bed. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere

My room (119) was a bity noisy in that I could hear the person in the next room using the bathroom very clearly.

We got what we expected, incl some traffic noise and knew it would be a busy social place for the town, if we'd wanted seclusion we wouldn't have been there, but the disturbance in the night was a bit out of the way. I didn't raise it with the hotel on leaving, but you give me the opportunity to mention it now. Our room was over the bar, the rooms were well let for family parties, so I guess we were the unlucky ones. (3304434383)
