Hotel à proximité du centre ville

The Turuas is a low cost hotel so I did not expect much but it is clean and comfortable. The on-line booking system is very good. I said above that the hotel is difficult to find and the web page just says it is in the centre of Rotterdam, this is not enough information. The address is no good because the street name is for two streets and some not accessible by car so it is difficult. A precise map is needed. There are no good restaurants suitable for business traveller near. (97091533)

Arrived by car and found it very difficult to find the hotel.

1. The staff doesn't speak English. I checked in late in the night and it was very difficult to make him understand that i need a taxi at 05:30 in the morning. 2. I stayed for 2 nights. While booking it was mentioned that the hotel has free internet in all rooms. It wasn't the case. The first night was OK but internet wasn't working the second time. 3. Rude staff. They are not willing to help. Once you are in the hotel, you don't have the option to talk to them. Take whatever is available and in whatever condition. Don't expect any improvement. There are 3 lights in the room, but only one is working. Don't be surprised if none of them is working. You can spend the night in dark. 4. They keep 5 Euros as security deposit for the room key. And if you have made booking for this hotel, be prepared to face it as your credit card is already pre-approved and you cannot cancel after you reach there. (97331699)

We arrived in Rotterdam with reservations about the Hotel having read the reviews.On arrival a major refurbishment of certain rooms was being undertaken with noise from workmen banging away.This finished around 4pm and a peaceful weekend was had.We were accomodated in one of the refurbished rooms,new floor and wall mounted flat screen tv with remote.Shower facilities were ok, water hot enough and towels changed daily.Breakfast was a basic European type not cooked but ok.They have a hot drinks dispenser for guests staying and the reception is manned 24/7.The area itself is a quiet one not disturbed by party goers exiting clubs n pubs.I would use this Hotel again as its heading in the right direction with it's upgrading and it's prices are competitive.If all the rooms are of the standard we were given you shouldnt have a problem...basic but warm and adequate. Close to City centre,baggage stowed till room check in time and even after departure bags looked after till ferry coach departe time.

The bed was very big.

The bathroom was very poor & the lift was very very small. The breakfast was unplesent because it was left in the sun & looked like it was off.

The whole hotel was good value for money. The continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The rooms were modest but clean, tidy, and comfortable. Not a hotyel I would use for a long stay BUT very convenient and comfortable for the shorter stay (99026612)
