The hotel was in a great location, teh decor was modern and recently decorated in the 2 double rooms and the service in the hotel was excellent.

The single rooms were a little small and in need of modern decor but i imagine the hotel is being done up in stages so these will be done to the same standard as the double rooms soon.

The staff were helpful & efficient in their duties but not very friendly or would carry on a conversation even just about the weather etc.

The accomadation was close to the town centre which was ideal as we were spending New Year and wanted some nightlife.

There was not an awful lot of staff on hand at the Grafton. In fairness the hotel was very quiet but we had to wait a while to be let in to the hotel and there never seemed to be anyone around

Overall the hotel is very well situated for the town centre and in a very nice quiet area, (except for the rowdy boys next door in the flats. The food was good and so was the service and yes I would recommend the hotel to friends.

Very clean, spacious room, nice TV, nice touches with the shower gels etc, plenty of tea, coffee etc.

The bar was not very good and very expensive.

It was close to the town and the conference venue and there was free parking. This was a major bonus and a significant factor in deciding to book the hotel.

Checking in service: I had to climb about five flights of stairs before reaching my room, struggling with luggage and fire doors and I received no offer of help. Also, breakfast finished at 9am - this is far too early!
