We have stayed in the Queens Hotel many times and are very happy there. The leisure club is a great bonus and we always enjoy several swims while we are there. The breakfasts are very good and the staff are always very friendly. We have recommended the Hotel on many occasions and look forward to staying there again on our next visit to Brighton. (97506640)

positive comments Comfortable bed, plenty of hanging space and nice toiletries in the bathroom
negative comments Room 212 was very noisy into the early hours, because of a night club in the street below. There was water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom from the light fitting.

The central heating didnt work. The hotel was noisey at night from other guests and traffic. The staff were though very helpful and polite and a 75% refund was given. (97683960)

The accomodation was very spacious and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. The hot water didn't come on during the day and It would have been nice to have had a shower when we arrived as we were hot and uncomfortable from travelling and had to get ready to go out to our daughters graduation that afternoon. On the whole it was excellent value for money. (99427263)

positive comments Nice big room with good facilities.
negative comments There was no hot water for a shower when we arrived.

thank you for a lovely stay, we will be coming back to your hotel for our next visit. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Brighton now and you are the best. We will make sure we book the same room as the views were great. (99298021)

The staff were friendly and (thankfully) not over formal. The room was nice and bright, overlooking the sea and Brighton Pier. The other guests were a good mixture of young (and not so young) couples and families. The self service breakfast was excellent with a great variety of good food and the staff went out of their way to make sure that nothing ran short. Overall the hotel had a nice, clean, proffessional, yet relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back. (99921604)

positive comments Our room was bright, fresh and modern, a r Our room was bright, fresh and modern with a great view of the sea.

Website very easy to navigate, prompt confirmation of booking by email. All staff were excellent, polite, helpful and welcoming. The room was large, nicely decorated, and had an excellent bathroom with a particually good shower. We made good use of the swimming pool. which was open from early morning until late evening. The staff here were also very helpful and polite, and the pool, though small, is a delight. The hotel is in an excellent position on the sea front and there is easy access to the shops. We felt the whole visit represented very good value, especially as the rate included a good breakfast. positive comments Excellent bathroom, nice toiletries, very spacious room.
negative comments Unable to alter heating, and found room rather cold at first. No additional blankets in cupboard, which I would have expected. However, staff very helpful when asked for extra covers, although when they arrived they were matress cover quilts, and one was quite stained.

For the money this hotel is asking per night you would expect a luxurious stay in a clean hotel with working facilities. Unfortunately this hotel does not meet with these standards and after completely refusing the first room offered / booked due to the condition of it we were moved, at no extra cost, to one of the Tower suites which was a lot better but still came with other issues. The main issue with this room was that none of the double glazed windows worked and had been left in a slightly open position which made it cold and extremely noisey at night. I would say about 75% of all windows that we noticed during the stay did not work and had do not use stickers on them. I have stayed in quite a few hotels due to my work and always use the AA hotel guide and rating to guide my choise of hotel. This hotel comes with a 4 star rating so I have asked the AA how they decide the rating of a hotel because I can not believe this hotel can ask (3304298143)

positive comments The location is fantastic for Brighton town center and the sea front. The staff are very freindly and willing to resolve any issues quickly.
negative comments The general decoration, fixtures and fittings are all showing their age. In general the whole hotel needs a refurbishment urgently.

Upon entering the hotel the recepton area looks very tired and shabby - notice there's no picture of it on the web site!but the rooms had the potential to be very comfortable, with more regular maintainance and a new bed! best points - clean and convienient to town and pier. (3304425514)

positive comments convienient position to town, good sea views, breakfast good and liked the contempory decor theme to the bedroom.
negative comments The quality of fittings in the room could be improved upon - the bed was so very uncomfortable, every spring in the mattress could be felt-therefore very little sleep was had.Maintainance in the room needed to be improved upon too,the headboard was in danger of falling off the wall as the frame was broken at the bottom, none of the window locks worked - and a complimentry piece of timber was supplied to keep the window open! also as a maintainance issue the toilet roll holder was badly fitted to the wall and the T.V signal was very snowy.

Some small things were annoying - room booked for 3 adults but tea tray only layed for 2 and minimal products in the bathroom, ie tiny container of shower gel & shampoo. There was no hotel information folder in the room It was reasonable because of the location but somewhat poor value. (3304404822)

positive comments A large room with sea view
negative comments Decor was somewhat dated

There was a night club banging away till 5am,didn't get any sleep as our room was at the front. A nice quite break for my Birthday turned out to be a complete disaster especially at paying £160 for the room. Will definately not be using this hotel again. (2701796)

I didn't realise before booking that there wasn't a restaurant in the hotel. It is important to my family and I that we are able to eat in the hotel at night should we choose to do so. I probably wouldn't have booked had I realised this to start with. I would expect a three star hotel to have this facility. (2489006)

positive comments Nice seaview. Very clean. Nice furnishings.
