positive comments excellent breakfast
Poor

It was very disappointing. If I had known it was going to be so poor, I would never have booked it. The room had dampness on the wall, t.v didn't work properly, an unappetising smell came from the kitchen area in the morning, reception staff not very hepful or friendly. I asked for another room and was told there wasn't any, until the receptionist realised that I wasn't taking no for an answer. (99785855)

negative comments . I ASKED I disliked being put in a room with dampness on the wall, the t.v wasn't working properly, the receptionist wasn't very friendly or helpful. I asked for another room, and was told there were no other rooms available, then all of a sudden a room appearad out of thin air, it may have been because I insisted to be moved. The shower was more like a trickle of water. I requested a smoking room but never got one.

It was unfortunate that it was the hottest day of the year and there was no air conditioning at the hotel in any room. Fans were provided but were of little use. The room window had to be left open and as we were sleeping at the front, the road noise was very busy and loud through out the night. Probably a very cosy place to stay in the winter, but wouldnt recommend in warm weather (3304925966)

Far enough away from city centre clamour but close enough to taxi in if needed - cricket fans heaven you are right by headingley stadium with plentiful local restuarants and bars within easy walking (3304972275)

positive comments clean & tidy room, very helpfull staff, comfy bed, good breakfast

Great value for money with extremely helpful staff. The decor was a bit too dark and dated but perfectly clean and acceptable. I would definitely recommend the hotel. (3304776378)

positive comments Very friendly staff. Food good and plentiful. Good position and with parking.
negative comments Dark and dated decor.

It would be useful if the description mentioned that it is right next to Headingly Cricket ground, this would make it easier to find. It is not very obvious from the description just quite how far out of the town centre it is. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice lounge/library. Food good value for money, wouldn t recommend any of the wines though. It is a pity the restaurant closes so early as the bar is not nice to eat in after eight pm. (2855382)

positive comments Period decorated room with attention to detail. Comfortable and clean
negative comments The bar is a little stark and unwelcoming but the other facilities are very nicely appointed
Excellent

I make this journey once a year due to the fact my children attend Leeds University. Previously the hotels I have stayed in have not provided the service provided by Butlers. I have stayed in the town centre and had to pay for car parkig and breakfast. I also stayed in another hotel in Cardigan Road and was not impressed at all. But I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay at Butlers and will be returning again next year. (2705838)

positive comments Clean Comfortable and good service, pleasesnt staff & free car parking.
