Satisfied, taking into account everything.

Swimming pool was clean, it could benefit from a glazed conservatory over it - making it warm to use throughout the year. Nice to have coffee facilities and hairdryer in the room.

The hotel needs refurbishment. Bathroom had mould & the bed was old. We could not open the windows other than three inches, so the room became warm, it would have been uncomfortable in high summer.

i definatley wont be staying again and wouldnt reccomend it to anyone else, very dissapointing!

breakfast was delightful

room didnt look as though it was cleaned properly, i found a pack of tablets on the floor by the side of the bed, in a family room that isnt acceptable! my son had been looking forward to playing in the pool, which was out of action, maybe somebody could have mentioned this when we booked? also, i paid 79 ponnds for my room, considerably more than anyone else was paying to stay at that hotel judging by the tarrif menu!

Pleasant enough hotel, staff could do with a little more training. The price paid was a fair reflection on the hotel. The hotel should be restored to it's former glory and then it would be a great place to stay as the location is perfect for town.

It was warm (Perhaps a little too warm though)

Bedroom was very tired and needed redecoration urgently.

Rooms were dirty, very worn, and some of my party, their rooms had an awful smell,we did complain but it fell on deaf ears
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 28 January 2008
The hotel looked as if it was ready for a refurbishment, carpets were getting worn and the decoration was decidedly shabby. The food at all meal times was good, well cooked and very tasty. All staff were pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and was looking for a hotel for a tour but the hotel was not up to our standard.
(97325936)

The accomodation was reasonably comfortable, staff helpful and courteous.

My room and bathroom looked as if it could do with a thorough clean. Unable to turn the volume up on the TV.

The staff extremely helpful - Breakfast and Dinner excellent

We were given a double room the first night which was very small and no air given it was at roof level - changed the next day to a very airy room on the front of hotel - no problems changing rooms
Sheridan from Louth, GB (Family with older children) 22 April 2007
I expected a good clean basic room, with all facilities simply working properly. I booked the room to stopover and rest rather than travel back to London. I had an uncomfortable stay, and was therefore disappointed. If I'd know that these requirements were not going to be met, I would certainly have chosen a different hotel.
(99281820)

Convenient location for town and beach.

Very poor quality of the room: hard uncomfortable beds, no heating, broken bath panel, unpleasant smell from leaking heated towel rail, several stains on the vinyl flooring, poor decorative order, curtains didn't work properly, and shower difficult to regulate.

The hotel we found to be excellant value for money and we would return there again. We had read some bad reviews before we went but found them to be untrue, the staff were all helpfull and the breakfast was very good, we would even have an evening meal in the Hotel if when we return again

Nice convenient hotel next to the east cliff with lovely walks along the cliff and seats to partake of the views out to sea. Superior rooms on ground floor very cosy and beds were comfortable. Good size bathroom.

The hotel could have a more welcolming reception area. Reception staff very helpful.

Primarily, it was excellent value for money.

No feedback after reporting faulty equipment when it wasn't repaired. The regulation of the in bath shower was extremely difficult.

The foyer of the hotel was very impressive and was clean and tidy. We stayed in the executive room which we found very comfortable. The staff were alway helpful and polite. The breakfast was excellent and wish we had booked our evening meal when we did the booking on-line. Excellent location as its close to the beach and the shops. Would recommend this hotel.

Not a dislike but disappointed the jacuzzi was out of order and felt the outside of the hotel could do with a fresh coat of paint as i felt it gave the hotel wrong impression.

Excellent staff! Bar staff to busy not working in the bar people constantly waiting for service however when they did arrive back from other duties they were excellent. Excellent entrance/bar and restaurant areas. The room was awful, peeling wallpaper, shabby overall disgusting looking bath.

We all enjoyed our stay at the Heathlands Hotel. From the outside it looks like it could do with a complete overhaul as there were slates hanging precariously off the roof! We had a 3 course meal in the hotel on our first night which was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly enough, but they put the food on to your plate at the table and when the girl had finished serving everyone the food had gone cold. We ate out the following night because of this. The breakfast was lovely - everything you could wish for.

Our stay at the hotel was extremely good. The online booking process was quick and easy. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel was nicely decorated and easily navigated. After looking at reviews on this hotel, I was a little scared of our stay. However when we arrived we were plesantly surprised. Our room was bright, airy and with a sea view! The rooms were modern, but not as modern as some of the more expensive suite rooms (so I hear), but we were happy. The breakfasts in the morning were excellent and the staff were very helpful, although many waiters/waitresses did not speak excellent english. We did not actually stay in the Heathlands as there had been a leak in our room. The Heathlands had tried to inform us that they had booked us into the Queens next door but we had been on route for three days and did not receive the message and hence had all our luggage out of the car. The room at the Queens was infact the smallest room we have stayed in outside London and we felt that it had not been properly prepared for us.
(3304303968)

We would have enjoyed the leisure facilities had we known they were available. We had no swimwear.

The receptionist was very condescending on our arrival. Some areas of the room had a layer of dust. The TV aerial was broken and the window flew open twice during the night.

Good apart from the heat in the hotel in general, it was too hot all the time, checking in was ok but wasnt overly helpful for example didnt tel us about breakfast and where to get it etc. also didnt show us how to use lifts or which ones to use to our room.

the heat, and facilities for younger couples, maybe a pool table or sumthin like that.

The accommodation was a short walk from the sea front and for my wife and I just 10 minutes from the venue of event. The directions to the hotel were easy enough for anyone to find there way, without too much trouble. The bar area was clean and tidy and the staff attentive, nice comfortable chairs and settee's to sit on and when I requested a taxi to the venue nothing was too much trouble for the staff to accomodate, a thoroughly excellant stay and will be booking next year.

The accommodation had just been refurbished recently and the standard was excellent.

The showers although adequate could use more pressure, however I did here that one of the boilers had broken down, and this may have had some effect.
