This was the first time I used the EastBank Hotel. The information on the internet gave me all I wanted to know about the Hotel. I was prepared to be at the front of the hotel with traffic passing outside. However I was provided with a quiet room at the back of the Hotel without asking. This impressed me.

The accommodation was fine, and exceptional value for money in a quite expensive part of Scotland. Dinner and breakfast, well......what can I say. The menu gave excellent choice, the food was very well cooked, and my only criticism is that the Proprietor (Bless her!!!!) overfeeds, and meals are a lengthy pleasure session.

Michelle from Amsterdam, Netherlands;NL (Mature couple) 04 April 2007
We stayed in the new section, room number 3 and it is great. Very clean and good size. The hotel is on the main road so you can hear cars go by, but it is not too bad. The city of Rothes is not for people looking for a lot of nightlife or restaurants, but it is a great location for the Whiskey Trail and easy to get to other nearby towns such as Arbelour. This was a great value and you can not beat the hospitality! We would stay there again.

The host was very pleasant but the hotel needs a lot of upgrading. The breakfast was excellent, although there was no choice.
(3305266644)

The size of the room and en suite was very large

Very old fashioned and needed upgrading- especially the en suite. The ventilation of the hotel was very poor, the smell of cooking oil was very overpowring and we felt that it stayed with us on leaving the hotel.

Not happy at all with this Hotel. My partner and I have stayed all over the Highlands; bed & breakfasts, hotels etc. This is possibly the worst.
(2940500)

THE ROOMS WERE BASIC. NO SHOWER, BATH ONLY. BATHROOM, WHEN HEATING WAS ON, WAS VERY WARM. THE BEDROOM WAS REALLY COLD. WE HAD TO ASK FOR THE HEATING TO BE SWITCHED ON. BEARING IN MIND, WHEN WE ARRIVED THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE MINUS, THIS WAS NOT PLEASANT.

AS THIS HOTEL IS BASED IN THE HIGHLANDS, YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE HEATING WOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT ON CONSTANTLY. ALSO, WE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY BREAKFAST, AS NO ONE BOTHERED TO TELL US TIMES OF SITTINGS

Little familyhotel with a lovely atmosphere. You feel very welcome and you are treated as a part of the family. I can recomend it in any way. Like being home with your mother. But not for people with high tech needs, and skyscrapers with a view to a museum for modern art :-)
(1971414)

You felt very welcome and your every needs where taken care of.

The rooms where very perfumed, and for people not used to that, is was quite remarkable
