Thoroughly pleasant

Wonderfully peaceful, very attractive garden, made very welcome with a more than adequate breakfast in front of a beautifully large and warm ceramic woodburner!

Restaurant not open on Monday night - but Msr arranged a table for us at a local Logis - though it was very expensive. Booking site said there was only one room left, but in fact there was only one other family staying that night!

friendly, efficient, beautiful setting, helpful.

room too hot (no-ones fault just heat of day ), noise of a motor running all night, flies!

For a one night stopover en route to the Tunnel, this was ideal but it would not tempt one to stay for a longer break, though it wouldn't take much to take it to that slightly higher level.

The gardens were lovely and the whole ambience very tranquil. The choice of dishes on the menu and at the buffet breakfast was varied without being excessive - a menu that offers too many choices is usually going to provide something that has been heated in the microwave.

The shower head was clogged, providing only a few spouts of water round the rim and there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang up damp towels, though there was space for a towel stand or rail. The procedure for the evening meal was not explained so we sat outside for an hour (not unpleasant in the early evening sunshine, fortunately) before a waitress finally brought us some menus. The meal when we got it featured locally produced chicken and very fresh and lightly cooked vegetables, but served in a way that was more reminiscent of a school canteen than a restaurant. Perhaps a little more thought could have been given to the presentation.

Our party consisted of mature parents with their son and daughter-in-law.

The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.

I have rated the "value for money" as fair because the current exchange rate of the pound against the euro made our stay seem rather expensive.

The room was reasonable as was also the price.

The hotel is well of the beaten track and with no restaurants in the area one automatically became a captive client for their restaurant.
The food was good but the hidden 'add ons' to their fixed price menu made the experience very expensive. A bottle of mineral water at € 6,00 and a glass of wine as an aperative at € 9,00 is well beyond my expectations. We spent more for the meal than to sleep!

The farm is lovely and our room attractive and comfortable, but both meals were a grave disappointment

lovely building in lovely area. friendly welcome

Food, both dinner and breakfast was poor for the price.
There are two menus or dinner,26e or 37e. We opted for the 37e but practically everything on this menu that was not on the 26e carried a 6e supplements. In addition the meat was cold and the cabbage waterlogged. The so called tart tatine was a flan of soggy pastry and tasteless apple puree.
The only meat product available for the 12e buffet breakfast was a very indiferent rillettes and the only cheese small prepacked portions of processed.
Neither meal was particularly tasty and both were overpriced for what they were.
