arrived at 21.30 as announced via e-mail. Dark hotel, finally a person appeared and informed me that my room was not available. I got an old and dusty room for the first night.

The couple running the place were really friendly and welcoming, we felt completely at home. We were on a trip to the Nurburgring to raise money for a charity so were looking to keep costs down. We were really pleased with the hotel as the advert on the website did not do it justice and we thought it was going to be quite basic. It was only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Mayen so I would not describe it as being on the outskirts as advertised online. Everything was really clean and had a cosy feel about it.
