A lovely country inn in an unique location. You get the whole package:
pub with a real local feel; excellent food; good facilities; quaint buildings that haven't been over-gentrified; coupled with the surroundings of Winchelsea's ancient street and buildings.

Welcome and attention by hotel personnel was friendly and efficient
A real family feel to the place
Food is excellent and served in a relaxed atmosphere

Only small niggling points: no TV remote in room; broken loo-roll holder.
However, these did not spoil the visit in anyway

A very enjoyable stay and look forward to revisiting.

Very friendly, made us feel very welcome. More of a family atmosphere than just an Inn! Food on the first night was good then menu changed and it became fantastic.

Not sure there were any!

Could not ask for a friendlier place.

Very quiet in the centre of a lovely village away from the main road.
Room was attractively decorated and very clean.
All food including Breakfast was excellent.

We cant think of any, except that if you forget to duck in some places you might get a sore head.

despite comments on kitchen speed, room was very acceptable

very pretty hotel and good value for money room was very pleasant

Kitchen service was slow - order for a sandwich was forgotten.
I ordered poached egg for breakfast and that took 15 mins - only two other guests in hotel.Although the standard of food was good when it arrived.

The room was comfortable enough but with a little thought/money spent this hotel could be very pleasant indeed.

I didn't expect luxury for the price. The room was clean, as were the bathroom, towels and bedding. Tea making facilities were supplied, which I had not expected but were mostwelcome.

The carpet in the room needed cleaning and there was an unpleasant smell in the room - I suspect coming from the carpet. I was somewhat surprised that the room was not serviced on the second day of our stay. The beds remained unmade and the bins unemptied. I have never encountered this in before.
