The hotel is deceptive from the initial encounters / impressions and is quite OK, overall, for the money. If you stay, I'd recommend eating in for the evening !! - well-impressed with the food. (107353657)

The restaurant is truely a 'hidden gem' ....a real delight!! with a surprisingly pleasant eastern themed environment tucked away at the back of the hotel - the service was very good and the menu and food interesting, well presented and tasty. Excellent really. The rooms are a good size and with a very comfortable bed. The staff were genuinely helpful and attentive to make sure I was happy in my surroundings, including alternative room options and supplementary warm-air heater (not needed in the end)

The first bedroom I was shown to was rather chilly, 'drab' and not very welcoming - overlooking Camberwell Road with a poorly fitted (and noisy) window.... but having decided this was unsuitable, there was no heistation to find me an alternative, which was just fine. Parts of the hotel interior including the rooms I saw, appear to be undergoing / have recently undergone some refurbishment, but have a 'slightly unfinished' feel about them - however, although a bit 'distracting' this was not really a problem in a practical sense. The room aesthetic / decor is generally on the plain and practical side.

Reasonably clean and good food, helpful and polite staff

Leaking air conditioning mae floor wet, poor paintwork, designer shower covered toilet seat and floor with waterwith water, old food and drink left in fridge, no curtains to make room dark.

We felt the photographs had been misleading and were dissappointed with the room. (97329353)

old blankets on the bed, telephone in the room didnt work, fridge{mini-bar}empty,no tea, coffee, milk sachets in the room-we requested these and got them the following day! Breakfast was at the cafe across the road,which looked dirty and was closed anyway. Room was very noisy and too hot. Building work still going on at the time of our stay
