Bowburn Hall Hotel

Our request on booking via the website for a twin room hadn't been noted, but they were happy to move us to a twin. Adequate, clean hotel. (107504507)

Good clean room and reasonably priced.

The shower didn't work properly - little water pressure and either scalding or cold. The girl on recpeption didn't seem bothered when I told her about it, so not convinced it will be looked at. Unmanned reception both on checkin/out with no bell to attract attention.

Clean, comfortable, good food, good location - met all our requirements

Pperhaps a bit more flexibility regarding breakfast arrangements. Woulds have preferred the option of either a continental or a full cooked english rather than just the one option of all you can eat for 7.95. It was, to be fair, a lovely breakfast but I ended ordering a lot more food than I really wanted because I had paid for it. Comfortable room and friendly service. (107759614)

Room too small and very hot. Bed very uncomfortable and small. Had to ask for extra tea,extra toast at breakfast. went out for evening meal as party of 86 teenagers and their teachers had a private party and occupied all seating

Accommodating around ordering taxis and late arrial and very welcoming

Mistake to go for the mackerel at breakfast which was really poor - cooked with a flame-thrower. Shame - should have gone for the very locally supplied English, which on paper at least looked great. Room small but bed very comfortable and clean.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Delightful building, and extraordinary breakfast (I overate, but that was my fault!)

The only problem was that the room was cramped. But the bed was very comfortable, the heat was correct, and everything worked well.
