Nothing but positives really, from all the members of our extended family party of 8 people. The welcome was warm and friendly, first drinks are "on the house", free bottle of wine for the birthday girl in her room. The rooms are very comfortable with lovely bathrooms, stylish decor and fittings within a querky, olde worlde pub setting near to London. Highly recommended. (By the way, are we allowed to recommend Restaurant 65, just a few doors up the road - superb food!) (107960771)

positive comments Close to London, excellent price for the standard of facilities, very friendly staff, comfortable bed, lovely bathrooms.
negative comments A bit noisy but it WAS Saturday night.

After eventually finding a place to park, the room was top-notch (poor TV picture) and breakfast was excellent. (107717145)

positive comments Excellent room and top quality breakfast
negative comments Parking tricky, wi-fi only works in bar

If you need accomodation in this area I can tell you that you'll struggle mightily to match the Olde Kings Arms for welcome, comfort and value for money. Whilst they only provide breakfast there are several very nice restaurants within 50m of the front door and to be honest it's nice to get out when travelling. I'd recommend this hotel and will use it again myself. (108031525)

positive comments Very pleasant hotel/pub, staff friendly and helpful, rooms are excellent, some of the best I've had in a small local hotel (previous night had been in a high end business class hotel for
negative comments The only downside I can give is car parking, it's limited at the hotel but there are at least a couple of public car parks within a couple of minutes walk and this slight inconvenience shouldn't put you off.

A small Hotel with rooms at the back of the old public house. The pub has a lot of character. Rooms were very comfortable and well fitted out. Room and bathroom were spotless. Hotel situated in the centre of the old town within walking distance of local restaurants. Will definitely stay there again. (97820165)

positive comments Rooms were fitted out to a very high standard, very comfortable.

Newly fitted out,I found this hotel to be excellent value for money. The room and its fascilities were very comfortable and of good quality. Both breakfssdt and dinner, served in the bar, were of a good quality and well served. For the price, this hotel provides very good value (97799774)

positive comments Newly fitted bedrooms were excellent, along with well fitted bathroom facilities

This is a newly refurbished late medieval coaching inn in an interesting High St, which is mainly bypassed. The decor is sympathetic yet contemporary. The staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was as I wanted and served promptly. (97475131)

positive comments The room was quiet, spacious and had character. I understand that because this is an historic building, room sizes may differ.
negative comments It had a locked connecting door to another room and other people could be heard, to some extent (& presumably vice versa)

The pub / hotel is well situated and the management and staff are all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable plus the full english breakfast sets you up for the day. Very good value for money. (97624803)
