Room was not prepared before our arrival even though we booked online and received email confirmation. Had to wait 30 minutes after hours of driving from Manchester and being stuck in the frustrating London traffic for 2 hours. Friendly and helpful staff though, but hotel internal facilities and structures need urgent improvement. Having spent £130.00 for two nights compared to £120 I spent at Corpthorne hotel afterwards in Birmingham which has superior facilities, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for value for his or her hard earned money. When I booked there was 2 Pool Tables shown on Web site. When we arrived there was 1. When my Father in Law and myself were play ,Two men took the last one away apparently due to local trouble with teenagers, so we were last to play. Please update the web site.

Staff were very helpfull and always keen to assist if needed and had a great local knoledge of the area.

Had to rub shower for ten minutes to get hot water. Holder for shower head loose - fixed it myself because impossible to have shower otherwise! Window (ground floor) was sticky and wouldn't lock once it had been opened

The room was clean and comfortable if rather basic.

The Hotel was rather shabby and needed updating. It certainly did not look like the picture of it on the Internet. There was a very musty smell in the hotel. The breakfast was only lukewarm and had obviously been prepared much earlier.

Very Welcoming room basic but clean and tidy,

We were in basment room under Bar and they decided to move furniture or sounded like in early hrs of morning. Late night 24 hrs snack was returned .

Bathroom was freezing!- Heated towel rail did not work. Cleaning staff did not bring clean cups and saucers in the morning- they left my used ones there. Decor was slightly dated.
