My wife and daughter both looked forward to this as a stress relief break but were very disappointed in the quality and pricing we have stayed in better £30 a night B&B so will not be returning to this Hotel and Spa ever again. (107857690)

positive comments the receptionist was friendly and very happy to help. Good water pressure in the shower in our room. The girls in the spa were very good but it is very over priced.
negative comments The photos showing the hotel are very old and wrong. The entrance to the hotel is very shabby and even the huge fish tank in the entrance is extremely dirty. We paid extra for a supreme room but it was certainly NOT of a supreme standard. The door had at some time been kicked in and was still just patched up and not even painted. Wall paper was peeling off the walls in many places due to damp. In the bathroom the ceiling was covered in damp and no attempt seems to of been made to fix it. House keeping was a total joke. The bed was just pulled up and the pillows thrown back on the bed, not even straightened, tea, sugar wasn't replaced and dirty towels just put back on the rack. The restaurant was unbelievable and the final straw really. We were sat at a dirty table as it was the only big one that still had 3 sittings, the full English which was priced at £15 was a joke, it consisted of 3 mushrooms, 1 slice of bacon, 1 sausage , egg and a hash brown. we could also get cereal and fruit from the table if you asked for cold milk. We found some of the bowls at the table caked in dried on food and the plates with hot food on were cold and also dirty underneath but as the table cloth and napkins were stained they obviously didn't worry about cleanliness. The waitress didn't tell us on the first day that we could actually order beans and fried bread as well with breakfast. The bar was hugely over priced under maned, cob weds in the curtains that looked if they had been there for weeks. The spa area was old and needs a complete re-vamp with mold on the window frames and only 2 unisex changing rooms with no shower jells for showering off the over chlorinated water after a dip in the micro swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The jacuzzi had to many chemicals in the water so your eyes stung and watered due to under ventilation and poor air circulation as the doors are not allowed to be left open we were informed.

Obviously would not recommend anyone stays at this Hotel. The experience was so disappointing. (107761115)

positive comments Manager was very helpful.
negative comments We were not shown around the facilities. Not given any information on them. We left the hotel after one night to find other more suitable accommodation. The room we stayed in was dreadfully small and claustrophobic. The bed was particularly hard. We did request a twin room but were allocated a double room.

Booked an executive room. Even if shabby chic, expect cleanliness. Welcome consisted of trying to get past someone hoovering and met by dead flowers at reception desk (an omen of what was in store). Receptionist had to re-clean room after speaking to Manager located elsewhere who was supposed to come and speak to us next morning but didn't and no opportunity to reiterate our concern till we booked out when asked if we had enjoyed our stay. (108045136)

positive comments Ground floor room Accommodation available at short notice
negative comments -Room dirty, hair in bath, carpet covered in long hair, peeling wallpaper, stained chairs, all surfaces covered in dust:Kettle, cup tray, bins, cistern top, headboard (not recent dirt), dark & small room -Service at breakfast very slow,no tables cleared, incomplete table settings,no self service apart from fruit juice&cereals. Didn't risk having dinner.

The undoubted strong point of this hotel was the staff who were friendly and attentive. The restaurant food was good. The evening meal was £29 for a three course meal including coffee. There were plenty of extra facilities (which we did not use) including indoor and outdoor pools. Perhaps the only weakness was the car park which wasn't quite large enough although one could park on the road outside. Sandown railway station is within walking distance. (97593493)

positive comments staff, location, food, facilities
negative comments car park

Upon check in we were shown briefly around the hotel which was nice. Our room was good, with a large bathroom and modern. The food was excellent, we were half board and had a three course evening meal and full english for breakfast. Staff very attentive and polite. Would stay at hotel again. (97424090)

positive comments Clean Room, Large Bathroom, Great Food, polite and helpful staff
negative comments Pool area a little untidy
