Friendly and well meaning staff.

outdated facilties, errant heating, drafty windows, toilets needed attention (outside of the room, en suite ok) no staff on Christmas day.
Paul from Nottingham, GB (Other) 23 December 2008
Disappointing, but I dont think you could expect much more for the money in the capital. It was reasonably clean but in need of some basic maintenance. I would probably use it again only as a last resort.
(107692220)

It was cheap, had car parking and was close to where we were working

Very small rooms & even smaller ensuites. The hotel was very noisey with doors banging and toilets flushing, even the sound of the person in the room above`s bed creaking as they turned over or moved. The continental breakfast included was not available until after we had left for work.

We needed to stay in London cheap and we got a bargain, £45 for a twin bed room with continental breakfast. For 1 night to get your head down it was good value.

This is a very keen price for a London B&B, the room was basic, clean & warm, towels & soap bars provided

The room was slightly tatty & the beds a bit wobbly, 1 window unable to be locked

They whole experience was good and we would book there again.

The Staff were excellent in their manner and support. They responded to all our needs. The Hotel is extremely basic, getting as many people in as possible. This made it a bit overcrowded but it was clean and somewhere to stay for 3 nights.

The rooms were very packed with beds making it difficult at times to move around.

It was so bad we didnt stay for longer than 20 mins.
(97455219)

Booking was easy. The guy who opened the door to us at the hotel was polite.

The room was absolutely disgusting. It was extremely unclean and smelt offensive. The staff were sitting in the breakfast room smoking and the smell of smoke was very strong in the corridor outside our room. We had booked for 5 nights but only stayed for 20 mins! We left and found alternative accommodation.
Tony from Nottingham, GB (Group of adult friends) 01 July 2008
We booked and paid for two nights but were so disappointed with the quality of the room and general shabbyness of the hotel, that we checked out after just one night.
(97583719)

Friendly staff. Off road parking

The room was booked to sleep 3 people but was barely big enough for 2 people. The beds were packed in so tightly that you had to climb over them to move anywhere in the room. The fire exit was blocked by cupboaeds and furniture removed from another room that was being decorated. Staff were smoking in the dining area during the day. (no residents were eating at the time). There was no mirror in the room so my wife and daughter were struggling to get ready to go out.
Sue from Stockport, Cheshire, GB (Mature couple) 23 January 2008
hotel had seen better days & even though the proprieters were helpful and were obviously working hard to upgrade the hotel there is still a way to go. The bedroom was very basic but clean.

accessibility to local amenities

bathroom was grubby
Leanda from Hilperton, GB (Young couple) 20 December 2007
Didnt think it was a nice place at all. If it wasnt for the location, it would have been a disaster. A bit of a con when all the hotel is using to attract visitors is its location.
(97450591)

Location

Very dated. Hairs, stains and burn marks in blankets. Shower worked backwards and rusty. Mould was on the ceiling and pipes. Tv didnt work properly. Room was freezing.

Generally it was OK for an overnight stopover for the airport but I would have liked a higher standard of cleanliness and much better parking arrangements.

Convenience for Heathrw Airport

Cleanliness poor. Although I reserved parking, I was woken at 5.30am to move my car.
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 13 November 2007
There were huge bed bugs actually crawling on the sheets, needless to say I have really itchy uncomfortable bites all over my body. Even for really cheap standards I think this was dispicable and I will not be spending any time at this hotel again. I would much rather pay double and get a clean room, I have learnt from my mistake.....
(97494464)

The staff were extremely friendly as well as accommodating, there friendly smiles actually made it hard to complain.

The room was what you expected for the rate per night, but it could have really been much cleaner.
Mary from Livingston, GB (Family with young children) 30 October 2007
I would have liked to have had more information about rooms and facilities in the hotel.Overall I was quite disappointed and surprised when seeing the room for the first time. However, as has been said, it was clean enough, breakfast was ok, and the staff were friendly and helpful when asked about trainstation etc.I hope these comments will be helpful in regards to working towards making what is a lovely house into a really nice B&B.

Clean towels and bedlinen.Nice area.Close to station although had to travel back to Acton for train to heathrow.Friendly staff.

Cramped conditions. No tea or coffee making facilities. No heating on so was cold.Furniture badly marked and scratched. Poor decor.Very Small shower room, again very poor decor.Made it look dirty although it was clean.

it is old and tired. But you cannot knock the location. One of us was travelling out of london by tube and the other was driving in from the west. This makes a good meeting point. Plenty of parking plus proximity to a tube station. All for a modest price. The beds are not the best though!! My husband hated them. I accepted them as the place is what it is. Pay extra elsewhere if you require luxury. Personally, I will stay there again

Hotel is small, cheap and quiet in a loverly area, close to bus and train, main street shopping and plenty of pubs and eating places. Hotel staff friendly and helpfull. Very suitable for the budget traveller who does not need any frills.

not everything suppied worked as well as it should have
peter from yarraville, Australia;AU (Solo leisure traveller) 05 May 2007
Pleased with the position in relation to Heathrow and the city, close to transport, bus and train, no fuss accomodation. Suitable for all people who do not mind living as they lived when they were a student. Clean, simple room, small with reasonable facilities and accomodating staff.
