Fairly central. Modern building and quiet.

Receptionists were none too friendly. There was a queue in the morning trying to BOOK IN new residents and we were kept waiting over 10 minutes trying to book out. You need to do inclusive breakfasts for this price (Cf Innkeeper Lodge) and serve earlier for people catching trains and ferries.Failed miserably on the last point!

Restaurant very expensive, poor choice for children and I had to change my order 3 times as they ran out of Salmon & Chicken. No heating in any of the bathrooms, towel rails do not work and in december - not good!

Overall an excellent experience for a pair of weary travellers - one of whom smokes and that room was available for us to choose. Although a function was taking place at the hotel this did not disrupt our stay in the slightest. Being experienced business travellers over many years we have high standards and this stay easily met our expectations. (107450919)

We had a problem when we arrived and the desk staff dealt with it quickly and efficiently and without any hassle.

We specifically asked for a non-smoking room and had been allocated a smoking room!!!!! In this day and age, it is a pretty important error.

I had difficulty finding my room which was one of the furthest from the hotel entrance and along what seemed a maze of corridors. I thought the meals & the accomodation, although excellent was somewhat overpriced.

The hotel is easy to find from the M20 and is set back sufficiently from the road for noise to be a nuisance. I ate in the bar rather than the restaurant and the service was fast and the quality good. However a little bit later on, a couple of coach parties descended downstairs for drinks and food and there was only one person serving in the bar. As a result it took 45 minutes for a coffee to arrive. This was clearly a management fault and not that of the barman, he was doing his best. Breakfast was discounted to (97869947)

The doors would not close without a loud bang, very noisy in the middle of the night. A noise that came from the plumbing more like a growling rumble again quite loud in the night

The only disappointing aspect was what happened in the restaurant, whre we wre kept waiting an interminable time for our food, and when it came it was not what had been ordered. The restaurant manager explained that agency staff were on that night, but that does not excuse the poor performance of the kitchen. At front of house, the manager himself and his waiting staff were first class, but the kitchen staff lket the hotel down badly. (99048438)

It was fine as an overnight stop. Excellent that the room had a bath as well as a shower (so many no longer have baths- which is a shame as there is nothing nicer than a good soak after a long journey). Also that there were tea making facilities, shower gel etc in the room
