Staff attentiveness. Friendly. Good quick breakfast - instant poached eggs

Disco in hotel - very loud till 12 although I was told that but not till I arrived - too late. Room service menu not available - only Christmas menu. Very poor meal and cold (goats cheese tart - should have been hot). DVD player not working. Wi-fi broken (one of the main reasons I booked this hotel)

A lovely room with good facilities. It was a little dusty in places

The buffet breakfast was cold and a such little choice of continental selection

We were attending a wedding in the town and a reception afterwards in another, nearby, hotel. We tried to get a room in that hotel to save on travelling around. We couldn't get a room there and tried the Angel and Royal as a second option. How pleased we were that we got our second choice instead of our first choice. Our friends were quite envious of us when we told them where we were staying and of the standard of the accomodation and facilities available. (3305193755)

There was nothing to dislike

For a Bank Holiday the Hotel seemed to be very shortstaffed in the bar (which was not open due to staff shortage). We had a meal in the Bistro which was excellent but again the staff were short handed. As I was staying in the hotel I was not in a rush but I know some people walked out. This is not a reflection on the staff working they did an excellent job including the receptionist who had to help. This is a Management issue that should be resolved (3304754464)

The hotel benefits from three key points: 1 It has recently been refurbished so everything looks and is in excellent condition 2- We tend to take our holodays in the Uk and stay at 4/5* HOTELS taking a suite where available. So you will see that we have come across a good number of professional staff but I can say that the helpfulness, service levels and committment to customer 'care' as shown by the A & H staff is second to none 3 The new owner has revisted the prices- (they were overpriced) (3304658605)

Not dislike but what keeps the hotel at a good overall rather than Excellent is the fact that there is no private lounge for guests and that the Bar, when we have been there is crowded with non- guests and most of the drinkers were smoking
