Fantastic - See you again soon! (108024536)

positive comments Easy reservation process via Hotel.com website. (found via Google) The only negative point is that the Website stated I would have a single room and the picture implied a single bed. I nearly did not continue with the booking process because I wanted a single occupancy double bed. Fortunately I checked with the hotel who confirmed my request. Good check in process. Nice room and view. Beautiful breakfast/restaurant room Very nice bar area. No Wifi adverisements, there may have been Wifi there which on another occassion I may have liked, but I am not sure if there is a wifi connection there? Excellent cleansiness Excellent very polite and professional staff. Overall experience and value of money - Second to none. When staying in Kent again I will always choose this location over others as we all really enjoyed our Oakwood House experience.

positive comments Price was excellent, especially as travelling on my own. it is refreshing to see that the price reduced for one person rather than increased!
negative comments everything was fine for the price but a little dated in the room. Very dark by the entrance and from a distance not very well signed. Again being a female the entrance could have some better lighting (arrived after dark)

The web site created the impression of an old country house upgraded for use as a hotel. However the rooms are modern not very special and the hotel is what is designed as- a training school, conference centre with facilities. This is fine but I was looking for a Manor house hotel to take overseas visitors to and did not feel that I achieved what I set out to doAlso breakfast was served from 7:00 to 8:30 only. I would expect breakfast to be served until 9:30 at least in a hotel charging (3305093604)

positive comments Grand entrance and main building staff very helpful. Room adequate
negative comments It was hot day- no air conditioning. (Very helpful receptionist provided fan) Rooms adequate but not what you expect in a old buliding of this type. The hotel is more designed for conferece stayers than for overnight visitors. a long walk from Reception to the rooms
