For an overnight stay, the hotel is fine, albeit a trifle expensive. However, both my wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed the experience. (107161457)

positive comments A delightful French Chateau in the Normandy countryside; most attractive grounds and views. The staff were efficient and considerate. The interior decor was most appropriate to a chateau and one had the impression of stepping back in time.
negative comments The bathroom was rather cramped and the shower lacked any kind of cubicle so that water inevitably went onto the floor.

Overall the stay at the hotel was great. The food and the service in the hotel restaurant was excellent. As long as I didn't need to iron anything I would definitely stay at this hotel again. For travelers unfamiliar with the area this is a surprisingly easy to find hotel in a very nice little village. (107169443)

positive comments The setting of this hotel could not have been more romantic. From the greenhouse and pond to the geese and cows grazing in the pasture this chateau screamed romance. It is unfortunate that my wife was not with me. I was also able to watch some english language news in the evenings so I didn't lose touch of home.
negative comments The rooms were fairly plain. There were no refrigerators or irons in the room. I asked reception if there was an iron anywhere on the facility and there was not. As I had an important business meeting the next day, this was a major drawback for me.

positive comments Lovely surroundings, extra helpful staff in spite of language differences, excellent food and wine, restful, quiet, just right.

Whilst the hotel was in an excellent location and well appointed, the presentation of the food lacked finesse. The main course was particularly disappointing-duck with a sauce and root vegetables (plated a la transport cafe). If a little more care had been taken in the presentation of the food, then the overall impression of the hotel would have been considerably higher. By comparison with other set menus (in the order of 30 Euros) it was not value for money. (97003033)

Our 3 day stay was superb, From the moment of check-in to our departure. The whole main Chateau building and grounds where realistically maintained in the French pre-revolution style. The very large (4.6 x 7.5 m) room was comfortable and bright and had a nice touch of a display cabinet containing period items, giving the feel that you where in friends house rather than a hotel. this would have been my first stay in a hotel, but it was the wrong choice on my behalf totaly,it really was a nice hotel but i felt out of my class so if you want to relax over a weekend break or holiday, shop around. (3304922281)

positive comments the hotel was set in a most picturest grounds, and it was very near the places we where to visit.
negative comments the price of a cup of tea or coffee, and i think a bit more effort with english would have been a great help.

Found the hotel better than expected for price; the food was reasonable; the gardens and setting made for a very pleasant end to a busy day travelling.Would certainly visit again;proximity to ferry a definite advantage.Excellent poolfacilities we thought would be excellent for children and could have been emphasised more on your website. Very nice location and good views. Rooms are too small, beds are far too small for a couple and also bathrooms are very pokey. Did not try restaurant or swimming pool so cannot comment. (3304671843)

positive comments The view
negative comments Uncomfortable bed - too small for a couple. Uncomfortable bathroom - too small. Thin walls / partitions - too noisy.

The hotel is easily accessed and a short walk from the main village centre of Quineville. The rooms are well laid out and mix old and new design give the impression of staying in a historic house but with the benefit of being in comfort. The dinning area is most impressive and contains wonderful french interior designs and antiques. The food is excellent with a good menu and excellent service. It is also worth a walk round the grounds although due to the whether this was not possible on our stay! The staff our friendly and we were able to converse in English and French. We would certainly recommend this hotel to people who want a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings. (3304711257)

positive comments Beautiful location with spacious rooms and friendly staff.
negative comments Bed not level!!

On approaching the hotel you cannot fail to be impressed by the buildings and surrounding grounds, which are immaculately kept. The welcome is friendly and efficient and the rooms in the main building all overlook the gardens. The restaurant is excellent with the staff happily accomodating most requests, english is VERY limited, one small criticism the bar shuts earlier then advertised. The bathrooms although advertising showers have no screens or curtains and warning notices that if you flood the floor you will be liable for any damages, but overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.
