positive comments Quality furnishings in what i consider to be one of the best guest houses i have ever stayed in. Ideally situated for both the channel tunnel and the Dover ferries and as a bonus it is located in beautiful countryside with panoramic views. The hostess was polite, friendly and helpful (and cooks an excellent breakfast.
negative comments Whilst the off road parking was good for cars it was not quite so good for our heavy motorcycle. (Gravel drive) However the hostess did allow us to park on her own block paved drive.

Excellent host, clean tidy rooms, b/fast traditional. (107227310)

positive comments Ideal location just off A20, therefore ease of access for Dover, Canterbury etc. Stunning views across Folkstone and to France from front rooms.

We stayed for 4 nights and couldn't have been better served. On arrival we were given tea and biscuits in the beautiful garden and were joined by another guest and the landlady who did everything possible to ensure we gad a happy holiday. (97826899)

positive comments Warm welcome on arrival, excellent accommodation, exceptionally clean and well run, comfortable bed and good English breakfast. Good location and helpful landlady. After many breaks using bed & breakfast accommodation, this must rank as No.1.

It is the first time we have stayed in a guesthouse,as opposed to a travelodge or hotel. We found the owner very nice, the room was lovely and clean. It is unusual to share breakfast at a table with other guests, but it was very agreable, and the breakfast itself was very good. (97660378)

positive comments The owner is very friendly and homely. The breakfast was very good.

I travel to many hotels and guesthouses on business, and every now and then one really stands out as being superb - and this is it ! Wonderful facilities, everything is new and clean as a pin and fabulous views across Folkestone thrown in. (97685914)

positive comments Excellent location, all brand new and top quality fixtures and fittings, lovely helpful owner and marvellous breakfasts.

If you like small and friendly with very hospitable hosts this is for you. If you like nostalgia have a drink in the cat and custard pot 5 mins drive away, but we don't recommend the food. The accommodation was home from home and we would stay again.Watch out for Olive, the cutest cat you've ever seen. (99411860)

positive comments quiet location, large comfortable bed, very clean, beautiful view.

This guesthouse was perfect for an overnight stay perhaps on route to ferry or Tunnel. Obviously being a guesthouse it was only suitable for sleep and breakfast. Both of which were excellent. Also, room we were in had a 6ft wide bed which was very comfortable. (99164662)

positive comments Quiet and safe

Very good, fitted the bill, only minor prob was getting access to the car in the night as the door was locked and no key obvious. (99518187)

Directions to find accomodation could be modified after Crete Road West and a B+B sign closer to the road would help.We passed the house several times in the hours of darkness before ringing the proprietor. All descriptions before booking were spot on and we were very pleased. We will definitely be using the guest accomodation again. (99290774)

positive comments Splendid Views from room. Good Hospitality. Good quailty breakfast cooked to perfection.

Cathy from Pudsey, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 18 November 2006

I feel i've put most of this in what I liked. Everything was lovely, the location, the room, the food and the hostess herself, there is nothing I would change and I look forward to going back again. My only small criticism is in the directions, we found the road no trouble but the directions then said that the house was half way along the road - we had no idea how long the road was and so ended up going much too far and having to reverse on a single track road in the dark (VERY traumatic) With hindsight I think it should have read Half way along the row (of houses) which would have made much more sense. However once we arrived there were no problems at all. (99721495)

positive comments Our accomaodation was spotlessly clean and the owner (sorry I can't remember her name!) was really helpful, early breakfast for our ferry crossing, ringing round to find us an evening meal and very friendly to talk to.

Just go there and see yourself! We went there with my sisters who both have special dietary requirements which is normally a problem - not in this b&b! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we will recommend you and hope to back! :) PS: The dinner tip / inn in Etchinghill was fab! I will not complain about English food anymore! ;) PPS: Just stay as you are! :) (3305202852)

positive comments This b&b is really first rate - we were 6 persons and had 3 wonderful rooms, 2 of them had an amazing sea view (you can see til France!) and the one we had was at the back overlooking the lovely garden. I never had a better breakfast (tomatoes from the garden soo yummy!) and never met such a friendly host.
negative comments We (6 persons!) couldn't fault anything.

Very friendly welcome. Breakfast available before 7am. Near Euro tunnel. Nice view, even of the French coast! Parking a bit limited, though fine for our stay as only two rooms occupied. Dinner nearby limited; local pub stopped serving at 8pm on Sunday. (3305041457)
